I have an inkling that it is naturally, ie not mechanically produced...

For my title clues I've used definitions, and anagrams and even most recently a partial quotation - but this is a straight forward riddle.

My one real contribution to this thread to give you something else to work at while your sub-concious is tested to identify my mystery noise.

Well it *might* be an instrument - I'm not saying one way or the other just yet....

I find in the rush to get my ideas out of my head, down my arms and out through my fingers, I'm often going faster than my own body can keep up so I often make silly transposition errors, like leaving out words or omitting negatives so writing "do" instead of "don't"

It's annoying, if you catch me doing it, slap me round the chops with the wet haddock of reality. smiley - hsif

The title reminds me of Shawshank Redemption. "You were right Governor, salvation lay within", having hidden his little rock hammer inside that Bible for a good many years.

>>how does the title clue relate to interstellar space?<<

A take on we came from the stars, religion, and being everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

I think? smiley - erm

Was the last one from Einstein or Hawkings? Or did I imagine it?

I would say a good place to hear this sound is in Australia.

Okay for the title clue, I am referencing a *very old idea* - for part of it. But that's all your getting. Nothing to do with Hawking or Einstein or.

(The quote "Happily Violence" - I don't think I ever explained and I should have - came from a novel from 1900 or so, wherein the the phrase "seeing red" is first recorded in print as a synonym for 'getting angry')

It's the strong wind sound that leads me away from that, GT. Otherwise surely it coud be recorded in a lab.

Although wind blowing across a dead trunk leading to the creation of a certain famous type of (avoiding smiley - bluelight inducing word here smiley - winkeye) wind instrument might be an outside chance...

Fair enough MMF, it's an artefact of my learning disorder. I make silly writing errors and don't often detect them.
