Can you post simultaneously with 2 different characters?

I've tried it, but as soon as my second personality logs on, first personality is left out...

Does it take 2 different browsers (? is that the word?) like Netscape and Explorer - or is another way to do it...?

not really... I mean I've made some great friends through this place... its just annoying when real RL *ie not being with other researchers in RL* tries to butt in


And uni is starting soon as well it is not a happy prospect...

Can't you use Uni computers? That's what I do...

The only time you can guaruntee a free PC is 5 minutes before they close the computer rooms.

See if there are any obscure computer rooms you can use... thats what i try to do...

the guy in the education department really objects if we use them on fridays, hes like, have you got nothing better to do?

As for obscure ones - they tend to be all 486s, or other, slower PCs which take longer to load a forum than it takes to queue for one of the PIIIs.

Funny here the ones everyone knows about in the library are the slowest...

The library ones here are the most-used, definately. The legs on the keyboards are all broken off and all of the mouses scroll wheels are broken. They're also slower than the PIIIs - not sure what they are as I try to avoid them. But the actual computer room buildings are always busy too...

Yeah, Joanna, I'm in the process of getting addicted too! I have probably done as much writing on H2G2 as I would have had I actually written my paper this weekend. Suggestions for being productive on the paper and staying off H2G2, anyone? The LAN makes this really hard.

Oooh... a Scandinavian meet. That sounds fun. If only I weren't so cash-deficient.

It's a good thing this addiction though, cause you get to meet all sorts of people that you might never meet otherwise.

Now where's that pyscho got herself off to? Think I might have to 'doc' her wages this month if she doesn't put in a few more hours...

Perhaps I should start advertising for a new pyschotherapist for the Addiction Clinic. Anyone want to apply? We work on the basis of 'it takes one to know one', so anyone with a major h2g2 addiction would be the perfect candidate.
