The Aroma Café: Past Christmas
Hati Posted Jan 13, 2004
*notices a calling card and looks it with a great surprise*
I has been ages since I saw one of those here...
IIEM, I'll have a blue java to fresh up my mind.
*ducks into the pile of w*rk*

Hi all - IIEM, a latte to go please! Bye all!
or

I'll have a coffee please, just any sort with caffine to keep me awake during this afternoons extremely dull lectures. It can't be any worse that what's in the hospital canteen here...
I do rarely leave calling cards, I guess because I can type quite fast and usually have something to say.
Shutting up is a skill I have yet to master.

I don't think that an occasional calling card would matter much, unless they start piling up - then we might have to let the cleaning bot out of the closet again, and we don't want to do that too often, do we now? Especially considering the trouble we've had persuading it to return to the closet...
*notices a latte on the counter*
Oh... IIEM must have taken my example for an order - oh well, I guess I'll have to drink it then...

IIEM, a for me with lots of whipped cream on top.
*the IIEM mutters something about having better things to do other than whip cream, but still produces it anyway with sprinkles as well*
Ooooh, lovely! Thank you.

Given the recent happenings in the Atelier, I would just like to say that Salonistas are welcome to post here in the café until things have calmed down a bit

*Walks in and looks around. Notices IIEM still on the counter. Wonders if OOK is still in residence.*
Been a long time since I was here. This was one of the first places I came to on h2g2. I was following Affy and it was just before Christmas. Irv was away for Christmas and Affy and I, er, took some liberties here. I remember Affy setting up a chemistry set on the counter.
*Chuckles quitely, then returns to looking glum*

*sits in the corner sobbing about the situation in the salon*

Witty Moniker Posted Jan 13, 2004
*Pulls herself together and addresses the IIEM*
I want a large pitcher of hot chocolate. With marshmallows. Stat.
*Begins gathering mugs from the shelf and placing them on the counter for the other patrons to help themselves.*
Come on, folks. We all know that chocolate is called for under these circumstances.

Coniraya Posted Jan 13, 2004
But only risk asking the IIEM for whipped cream if you can put up with the mutterings!
What a to do, dearie me.
*shakes head*

[Mog] IIIEM, the usual.
[IIEM] Right: A triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso, and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso).
[Mog] And make it strong this time. [to Z] What's going on in the Salon?
The Aroma Café: Past Christmas
Mrs Zen Posted Jan 13, 2004
Does the IIIEM do alcohol? If so, I'll have a large rum with very little coke in it, I know it is not yet 6.00pm, but I do need it. Medicinal, doncha know.
If not, I'll have a jasmine tea.
The Stepson and I went to Aldi, and it was all that you said. Odd that Aldi is unmistakably German, even in the UK, and Ikea is unmistakably Swedish.
*drinks reviving drink*
*sits down glumly, and sniffs quietly in the corner*

Hope you don't mind if I join you.
I'll join Ben in a rum and (cokeless) coke. I don't think tea would do it for me right now. It isn't even noon here and I feel like a two martini lunch coming on.
