Dans un chose comme 'The Language Thing', c'est de temps en temps plus facile de dire 'vous' au lieu de 'tu', parce que il y a beaucoup des gens ici et c'est quelquefois difficile de comprendre a qui on parle, alors on parle a tous.

And 'ne pas' doesn't mean 'not' as such; as a rule, the 'ne' goes before the verb, and the 'pas' afterwards. If you just say 'ne pas' it doesn't really mean anything, so you should use 'ne...pas' as in:

Je ne parle pas l'alleman
