Captain_SpankMunki [Keeper & Former ACE] Thanking <Diety of choice> for the joy of Goo. Posted Jul 15, 2003
Marconi set up the first wireless factory in 1897 in Hall Street, Chelmsford.
John Logie Baird invented the televisor while working for Plessey (later to become a Marconi company) in Ilford.
Alan Michael Sugar Trading - Amstrad, founded in 1968 in Essex.
Phil Jupitus - Lived in Chalkwell, I've walked past his house. He also went to see the League of Gentlemen at the Cliffs Pavilion - noticable by his laugh and heavy drinking in the bar.
Liam.

kat... yep... the PC is definitely good news....
in some of the programmes that i installed there is a kind of encyclopedia [hutchinson]... i checked Essex... got one relatively interesting paragraph and a list of famous people.. well they called it a list... there was only one name...
hehe... not very impressive compared to our "soon to be produced" list...
shame that i can't access the net yet [a few more days]... but i might work on the list offline and save it so that when i get net access i'll cut and paste it in an entry...
[might even spellcheck it...]
lots of links to come this way after the 23rd...
liam... i've been on the local paper in waltham forest and interviewed by a journalist of the BBC World Service [waves to michel proust] but i haven't been in a film []... mmmmmm.... we might have to start a thread about our claims to fame or something like that soon...
definitely great stuff being posted in the group's convos...
i'm still busy with installing and checking things but i should be back on a more regular basis...
talk soon everyone....
