Yeah. But I had family connections: my aunt is head of tax and accounting, my grandpa is a director.

Now connections are very useful.
Though the most they ever got me was a tour round parts of the BBC including a picnic in the Blue Peter garden.

Must have been interesting. Personally I'd have liked to have hidden a radio controlled whoopee machine somewhere, that would have been interesting.

Not really, it's tiny . Unfortunately I didn't come properly prepared, I'd spent the rest of the day at some silly A level revision conference thingymajig.

Oh yeah, them. We have to go to them occasionally. It's usually encouraging; if the rest of the people there need to know what they're saying and haven't been taught already, then we're ahead and doing fine. If we're right on track, that means the syallabus is easier than thought.

They were very similar to lectures in format, which is probably why I don't remember anything much about them. The only ones I can remember were for maths, which is a little odd really.

They usually commit the crime of trying to be 'hip'. This damns them from the start, makes them laughable and forgettable straightaway.
A maths one I heard about had someone trying to work out volumes of cauliflowers. He was trying out the "Y'know, I'm just an ordinary guy, ok guys? And maths is really fun!" track. I don't think that worked either, but you can't say they don't try.

Well, I've just been through a 6 week backlog for the sake of the dictionary. I don't know what happened to the words from before that though, I don't think they're all in the dictionary. Meaning there's some random notepad file somewhere.....
Oh well.

Aha, that's alright. I went to save my last twal on the desktop and found the last load. I'll sort it out later......

Trawl. It was a typo. I'm sure someone will come up with a meaning for it..........

Twal - to spread something out in a disorderly manner.
Gotcha.
