i'm more lucid and readable when i'm still asleep. that and if i don't check all my coversations twice a day i run out of time in the evening.....arrgggghhhhhh! why do i need sleep and a life......can't i just keep up to date with hootoo.........darn you lot for being so interesting forcing me to reply at 630am!

Any time before noon is a horribly uncivilised time. Unless you just haven't gone to sleep yet, which is slightly different.

Oh, I feel so out of touch! I haven't been here in weeks due to huge amounts of uni work and lack of computer in room. Worse, i can't get any decent music radio stations so I can't listen to anything new. But hey, there's always my Metallica tape (the black album....genius). All the colour has faded from my hair so i now just have patchy blonde highlights. It looks ok but a bit dull. I will over-dye it a better colour. I am now free (no more uni work til september - wooh) so I'm going to spend some of my loan as a celebration. Who knows, I might even buy a new (or old) CD album. What does anyone recommend?

Here's a little piece of trivia. Apparently, and this is /very/ apparently, Iraqui prisoners have been tortured by making them listen to 45 minutes of the Barney Song, interspersed with heavy metal. Enter Sandman being amongst the songs mentioned.

Do not take my advice. I love rock but i can't buy rock cds, they all seem to come out as soon as I buy a not- so- good one. Perhaps that Audioslave one, though?

I went and got the Audioslave CD, it's also really good. Unfortunately it means I have no money for the Punk CD. Damn.

Keyboards are annoying sometimes.

I didn't hear any Soundgarden, I read about Audioslave being formed from, amongst other things, a couple of guys from Rage Against the Machine. And it does have a very Rage-y feel in some places.

I got the new double cd Best of Led Zepplin AND the White Stripes 'Elephant' all for £22!!!!! (isn't the HMV sale great?) I also got some big earrings shaped like electric guitars from Topshop. In true rock stylee I am only wearing 1 and have a stud in the other ear. Quite like having blonde and brown hair at the mo but thinking of dying it in the future. Probably reddish-purple.

*blissed-out sigh* I have been listening to my new cds. They rock so much. And since I know a lot of you here are Led Zepplin fans, why don't you try going to rathergood.com - there's a great little animation called Viking Kittens set to 'Immigrant Song'. Northern Kittens is hilariously funny too, and Punk Kittens is what the White stripes would be like if they were......yep, you guessed it, kittens. You need quite a high speed, capable browser/connection to apreciate the full effect though. Mine is slow so everything is out of sync.

(sorry this is off topic but...) rathergood is the greatest site! my friend found it a few months ago...everyone go on it if ur bored and like computer anims, watch the blode ones! the songs are erm catchy ...'Feed the food, find food feed to feed fine food' etc etc have fun :D

Not been to rathergood. But my con speed sucks, so when (if) we get broadband, I will have a look.

I'm gutted that I can't come to the big H2G2 party in London cos I have to work (down side of being a student) but hey it's not all bad cos I'm going to see Reel Big Fish playing in London in August (woohoo) and I might also go and see Alice Cooper (yes, the man himself) when he plays the Guildford festival thing (no, really, I kid you not) seeing as it's just down the road so to speak.

I'll be home from uni soon too which means better computer access and daily posts to H2G2 if I so desire. Again I say, Woohoo!!!

Anyone else going to either of these gigs?
