I like quite a few genres of rock... I don't necessaraly like certain areas of music... aka... Nu-Metal... pop... r'n'b... hip-hop... gangsta rap... mc-ing...

But I do like... "Old" Rock... Metal... Chillout Rock... i.e. R.E.M... Brit Rock... Old Punk-Rock... Grunge Rock... really most stuff before 2000...




Okay... here's my list of bands I listen to... in no particular order of favortism...




Black Sabbath... Iron Maiden... Metallica... The Clash... The Who... The Jimi Hendrix Experience... The Moody Blues(don't ask me why, lol)... T-Rex... Led Zeppelin... Jimmy Page... The Beatles... Elvis Presley... Slayer... Nine Inch Nails... Pearl Jam(pre-1998)... System Of A Down... Muse... The White Stripes(they're a really good thing to come out of music for a while)... Nirvana... Foo Fighters(pre-"Breakout")... The Sex Pistols... Def Leppard (pre-"Long, Long Way to Go)... The Red Hot Chili Peppers(pre-"By The Way")... Soundgarden(massive Soundgarden follower)... Massive Attack... Faithless(don't ask me why)... David Gray... R.E.M... Tom McRae... Hole... Audioslave(come on... Chris Cornell... gotta be on the list)... Garbage... That's about it... some other stuff I like are... the songs from certain movie soundtracks... it's just a thing that gets me sometimes... the latest one is from the film "Daredevil"(rubbish film, rubbish soundtrack) except one song... "Bring Me To Life" by "Evanescence"... I first heard it about... 2-4 months back and always wondered who it was... and I found out... and I thought it was pretty good... anyway...

Hi Serj I just found your page. Way cool! You like loads of music that I like (and also dislike the stuff I dislike) Yay!.

Still, I will write my own list cos there are differences...
OK, here we go (takes v v v v deep breath) this is the stuff I Like:
Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Joan Byaz, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, anything off the Blues Brothers soundtrack, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors (of course), The Who; the Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees (a great band which too few people have heard), Sex Pistols, Tom Robinson Band (I've met him!), Blondie, Queen, Bowie; Metallica, Guns n Roses, REM, Nirvana, Chilli Peppers, Spunge, Reel Big Fish, Garbage, Joydrop (like Garbage but american)
And then some other people who I have heard a bit of but not enough to stick in favourites yet: Def Leopard, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Black Rebel Motorcycle club, Puddle of Mudd erm names escape me the Thrills and probably lots of others.

Won't bore you with the ones I don't like unless you are reeeaally desperate.

I'd love to be one of your researchers! (*gushes* everyone here is so nice). My master plan is when I have finished my degree (2006) to write a biography of Siouxsie and the Banshees (hey it beats getting a reeaal job)
So bands I dislike: Trance, Dance, anyone whos name starts DJ, Craig David, garage, rnb, destiny's child, rap, hip-hop, hard house (i don't even know what specific music this is anymore but I'm pretty sure I hate it), eminememememem, cheesy processed pop bands who are just a marketing fad and don't sing their own songs let alone write them; s club seven, hear say, Gareth Gates, Will Young, S club juniors (they can all rot in hell. They deserve to, especially for that awful cover of 'Light My Fire' - I nearly wept), Korn, Slipknot et al (names escape me) nu-meatal (face it, it will never be a patch on the old stuff). I think that's all for my hate-list.

Hooray for Ray Charles.
(i nearly died the other day - Dan Ackroyd was in that Britney Spears movie - oh, I hate her too and Christina SLAGuleira.)
