I suggest putting the A-number in your nickname. (that applies to everyone here, not just spook) That can't be spam, because it's meant to be everywhere you post.
So, people like my idea about the etabed, then?
I don't get why post 2 has been moderated, it has been replaced with an identical message, which rather defeats the object, surely?

My ticking off e-mail says that, "impersonation is not allowed as per the house rules". Which is quite correct.
And anyway, at least the links in that post work properly now

It actually says that in the rules? I must have missed that... I'll let them off then.

Okay, I'll try to help out. I'm apalled at this, I feel supressed. Every other post I see in AskH2g2 is moderated. Apparently an overzealous person moderated HVL from a message saying ""
...sure I'll join your cult!

Who says you have to use the christian calender? It would be 1966 is you were using a calender that started in 900 BCE.
Oh, and it's no problem, spook.

The dead ones are usually less controversial
than the living ones. Hitler has been dead
almost 60 years, though, and he's still
controversial. You can still discuss him here....

I'm very against it! It's an outrage by the supposedly impartial BBC!

i am american, and have not studied the brittish constitution, but in my consitution, in black nad white, it is layed down that "all citizens shall have the freedom to express whatever they wish in a peacable vocal manner". i bring charge against h2g2 for the surpression of the free flow of spoken (typed) ideas and information.

I found out yesterday that Buckingham Palace goes on full war footing today, will this be moderated I wonder?
righteous disagreement
SEF Posted Mar 19, 2003
I protest! I'll decide about what precisely later. Meanwhile, I demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty over my protest.

I agree, it's very wrong to stop us from discussing the war. The beauty of h2g2 is that you can discuss anything with like minded people, without fear of being supressed.

in the thread of the policy announcement, I have asked the italics 3 times now for some clarification...
can we talk about the history of iraq,
the first war,
the kurds and their treatment for the past 15 years,
the marsh arabs
oh and I forgot our refusal to aid the 1991 uprising which resulted in many deaths of iraqis who had been led to believe we would help them
can we talk about these issues, anyone know?
