Maybe the string got caught in its nose. To us it would be a pretty big string though...

isn't it that the whole universe is only an eratic dream in the mind of a random tennisball?

Now THAT'S a possibility!
Random
Zach Garland Posted Jun 8, 1999
Something just occurred to me, Zaphara. Brainfart perhaps or brainstorm?
Since Random was in possession of the Guide Mach Two at the time it reverse engineered the Earths out of existence thus generating the ripple effect that caused a Big Crunch and then the second Big Bang, it is vaguely plausible that the Random of the previous reality could have somehow been bounced into the next reality as a side-effect of the Guide Mach Two's actions. This of course means that the Arthur, Ford and Trillian of the previous reality could also be on this side, though Reality One's Zaphod I still can't rationalize.
In other words, it's very vaguely plausible that you, the Zaphara of Reality Two, have encountered the Random of Reality One somewhere along the way, or have yet to encounter her. We'd need to write up a particularly thrilling and vaguely plausible explanation of course in order to make it work, but perhaps all this should be discussed over at http://www.h2g2.com/P79977 so the Topic Police don't come after us.
42... Which is...

From your home page look at the funny goo to the left (pritty isn't it) there should be a button marked "my details". Change your nickname and that as they saw is that, P.S. your name and surname only show up if someone searches for your nickname, in case 2 people share that name.
Good to see new blood on the guide, try to put something on your page (the "edit page" button lets you change that) and if you get stuck or want to know a few things give me a buzz.
Yours sincerly from a 2 week veteran with pictures and different colour writing on their page ReapeR

The only reason I mentioned string was that I'm currently working on a theory that states how the Universe started, and it does involve a piece of string.

Oh no!!!!! PHYSICS! This could actually become an educational page! I read some about String Theory a few years ago in Discover Magazine. They supposedly explained it in laymans' terms. Must have been a brighter layman than me(I know.... not hard to be). By the time I finished the article I had a severe headache and no more understanding than when I started reading. Though the headache did give me a good reason to drink WAY too much, so I guess it was worth it!

Scumpit is actualy right, pysissists(spelling is irevelent)the way the universe works is actually suppost to be simular to knots in string,(I almost read this in a science mag) so wait a few days and I'll share a hell of a lot advanced pysics withe you all. (I bet your screaming with antisipation already )

Fluke Posted Jun 9, 1999
Oh God, now everyone thinks I'm a physicist...
My string theory has nothing at all to do with physics.

Too bad. There's nothing you can do about that now, though!Pandora's Box has been opened, and all you can do is fake it from here. (I'd never know the difference, anyway.)Let's just keep in mind that a serious mind is a dangerous thing.

Himble Posted Jun 10, 1999
When you say the universe was started by string this is the super string theory and has absolutely nothing to do with the popular product for tying things with.
