42... Which is...
shmontsino Posted Jun 6, 1999
this is, of course, totaly impossible as (as mentioned in the related forum) even two sugars in a nice cup of tea seems to be too much for some.

out of place

Now why did my last two entries(I tried twice to get it right) wind up in an area no where near their intended target?
42 or 54?
Himble Posted Jun 7, 1999
Take a look at the hitch hikers guide when Ford and Arthur are on prehistoric Earth. When he pulls rocks out of the bag he gets "what do you get when you multiply six by nine?" This is quite obviously not 42! Arthur obviously doesn't know any maths!

The number is 42.
The reason: Earth is "Intel Inside" and runs MS Earth 2000BC.
Thank god for the FDIV bug

Himble Posted Jun 7, 1999
The point is if "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?" is the ultimate question and the ultimate answer is 42, it just proves that the universe doesn't make any kind of sense.
42 or 54?
Fredie Ghooouulashhhh Posted Jun 7, 1999
It's because Arthur is decended from the alian lunitics and the cave men. That why he was upset.

Mr. Burns Posted Jun 7, 1999
I can explain the forty two fifty four thing. Because mankind replaced the fintle woddle wix (or something) people, the whole process of working out the answer was up doo doo creek without a paddle (or a boat) from the very start. If Arthur had got the correct answer in his brain waves, when he drew the answer from the scrabble bag, the whole universe would have diappeard and replaced with something more complicated. The six by nine thing is just to prove the answers wrongness further.
And I still think it's death and taxes.

CrunchyFrog Posted Jun 7, 1999
No, it isn't, it only depends on the size of the cup.
String?
Fluke Posted Jun 7, 1999
Is it possible the whole Universe could have been derived from a small piece of string?...
No, thought not.
String?
MadMunk?¿ Posted Jun 7, 1999
