Correct. Absolutely maddeningly correct. I just tried to read this whole page of 42ness. I got a 42 ish feeling that I might die before i got to the end. Consequently I've gone blind from it, (and because of the 1 contact ive not taken out of my eye for the past 3 months) and my seeing eye dog is now typing for me. So therefore ITS DONE> He cant read but he types well. Im sure now that Ive happened to find this little forum a bowl of petunias will commit suicide on my head, or I'll happen to be under the whale that goes to meet his friend," the ground " . *poof*

It would be absolute madness to think one could actually read this entire thread.(In fact,I'm covinced any attemt would surely CAUSE madness) Could it be possible that this is, in fact, the very thing from which the whale was created? Let's put Marvin on it, and I'll check with him when I get to the restaurant.

Hey - I don't know if anybody has realised this, but the seven numbers from 3 to 9 add up to 42! Coincidence? I do not think so.
Also, the numbers 4 and 2 add up to 7, which is the number of numbers between 3 and 9 inclusive! - WOW! (Hey, if 6 X 9 can = 42, then why not?)
This is truly amazing, and I believe that this is the Answer... or the Question... or whatever you want to call it.
Plus, these emoticons are totally cool, like | and :-o and :o} and :-I and ;-{ and | and ... Subject Police, COMEANDGETME! (evil laugh)

...plus, the numbers 3 and 9 are put side by side to create 39 - only three numbers less than 42! and if you add 3, 9, 4 and 2 together, you get 18 - divide 3942 by 18 and you get 219, minus the number you get if you add the number of digits between 3 and 9 together (7) and put two of these numbers together after the only number not used yet (1), (which all equals 177), and you get - 42! (Mu-hu haha!)

When I was 41, I thought I was within one year of finding the ultimate answer. But now I am 46 I realise I've forgotten the question.

Wecome, DiamondAce, to insanity in it's purist form! Are you sure you were ill before you began reading, or could it be this belief is merely a manefestation of the dementia brought about by overtaxing your mental faculties? After all, one must remember; reality is a rare commodity around here. As for ages, I am 42. The problem is, after some thought, I realized that I was an answer for which there is no question. Oh well, back to square one! Pull out the Yellow Pages and look up "Planet Contractors". It's going to be a long millenium!

Why is it that whenever you come across a pair of drunkards, one is
always filthy, smelly, incoherent, blood-stained and barely able to
walk, while the other is far worse?

Incompetence would keep you out of trouble, but drunkeness would be a WHOLE lot more fun! I'll choose drunkiness
