Don't wink....?
Don't what(why and where)?
Or are you winking at me. If you are then..... *blush, giggle*

Fluke Posted Jun 16, 1999
That wink is only because I've got hay fever and it's more comfortable if I keep one of my eyes closed.

I was amazed by the sentiment, but also warning not to subscribe to Sky Digital, that's all...
As to winking, of course I am, my lovely!

Ohmigod!!! Talk about FREAKS! Yes, i liked all of the series of books by Douglas Adams, but they are freakin' books, which have no real meaning! Don't you get it? I hope you people find more interseting things to do with your time, instead of repling and bickering like little kids about the meaning of life!

Artretia Dent Posted Jun 17, 1999
O.K, then. I seem to have been getting slightly confused. Sorry SmileyBen.
Er...what sentiments?
It seems someone else has missed the point in these forums, but the researchers' point is noted. And burnt.(See above). No offense intended, but I just don't agree.

42 describes the binary state of the Universe ie 101010 or Big Bang - Big Nothing - Big Bang etc etc etc.
What's in a number?
Eric Cartman Posted Jun 17, 1999
Ah! But did you know that 667 is the neighbour of the beast???

You are all cracked
DiamondAce Posted Jun 18, 1999
I am writing this using my friends name so dont blame him.
As a person who is reasonably good at maths I can tell you that 6*9=54 not 42. It will never = 42 and no matter what strange formulas and equations you come up with it will not = 42. All this insanity about 6*9=42 almost drove me bonkers. I think you should all read about the chaos theory about the universe, and no it does not give 6*9=42 as the answer to the universe bla bla bla.
You are all cracked and I strongly suggest you get hobbies that do not involve the universe, wrong maths equations or anything that leads to ultimate insanity.
Once again, you are all cracked, including my friend diamondace.

I am now DiamondAce, am speaking on behalf of myself.
i would like to add to the message above by saying that my friend has just sustained a punch to the upper arm.

I would suggest

might be a better place
for the punch

We could take to talking incessantly about how to make a nice hot cup of tea. That seems more suitable of a hobby than talking incessantly about the meaning of life, the universe and everything.
Tell that to a philosopher and he'll punch you in the arm.

'bicker n : petty quarrel [syn: bickering, spat, tiff, squabble, fuss] v : argue over petty things; "Let's not quibble over pennies" [syn: quibble, niggle, pettifog, squabble, brabble]' {dictionary.com}
Not quite sure if we could be counted as bickering - seems to me we're discussing, especially since, regardless of whether you think it fruitful or now, the universe much be the complete opposite of petty...
Interesting that the above and a page about Road Rage are Researcher 43438's only contributions...

Ha ha, you missed me with the water, I was hiding behind a extra-large tea cosy that popped into existence improbably, due to a dimensional rift.
Key: Complain about this post
