The wrong Question

Lost is an interesting concept. Lost in thought, Lost in Space, Lost sock, Lost in deepest Africa like Livingstone who was not lost at all when allegedly found by Stanley as Livingston was accompained by 42 nubile African ladies singing Mary Poppins songs.
The wrong Question
FairlyStrange Posted Jun 13, 1999
I'm afraid he may be lost more like Emilia Earhart, who, if the latest discoveries are to be believed, sure would have had a fine use for Mary Poppins' umbrella.(no disrespect intended... for comparitive purposes only...P.C. and all that!)
The wrong Question
Lonnytunes - Winter Is Here Posted Jun 13, 1999
Amelia and Mary frequented the same shop, Umbrellas R Us. Alas due to weight restrictions, imposed because of the need to carry plenty of fuel, Mary had to leave her umbrella behind when she left on her disastrous last trip. If I remember right she went missing at 42 longitude, 13 degree latitude.

OK. I'll go with that.... Problem solved..... AGAIN!
The wrong Question

Again. Fascinating word. The rain is Spain is falling mainly on the plain again. Plainly because rainy Spain is mainly
made up of plains over which planes fly looking in vain for Umbrellas R Us shops.

It's like Frankenstiens' Monster. The problem is, now that you've created it, do you have any ideas as to exactly how it's demise might be achieved?

well that was an interesting visual. Forty-two inch neck with short limbs. Just what are you, then? It boggles the mind.

White is black if you burn a thing that was originally white

DiamondAce Posted Jun 16, 1999
This thread is surprisingly long, and somebody should do something about it. i'm not volunteering, of course, but suggesting the right thing on behalf of all of us who have a slow modem and cannot load this page in less than 3 minutes 42 seconds HEY - I just realised - 42 seconds, 42 is the answer!!
I'm getting a headache from all this obvious thinking, I think I need to go to bed, maybe read The More than Complete Guide again or something.... Y'know, to take my mind of all this disgustingly sane logic and stuff.
Oh so tired...
Tired....
42.....
Tired....
42, and the question is....
And for an encore...
Artretia Dent Posted Jun 16, 1999
No, silly. White is the 'pigment' we see when all wavelengths of light are combined. Something that is black absorbs all of these wavelengths completely, and therefore consists of all of these wavelengths. If anything consists of all of these wavelengths it must be white. The only difference is that the white white lets its wavelengths escape, and the black white pretty much keeps them to itself.
Now I am very likely to get killed on the next Zebra crossing.
