yes it annoying but everyone says that harrys gonna die but what we do know of Jk Rowling iss that #she like to go against the grain as such. But supposedly Harrys not going to live to middle age or collecting his pension!!!!!! so what happens is up to Jk. Are hope rest on her!

J K Rowling has said that Harry wont get to be a middle age wizard, or withdrawing his pension. THis leaves two options
1) Harry dies young
2) Harry becomes a recluse having killed Voldemort (because he will be destroyed!)
The latter is probably true, because she is attached to her characters, and we see beginnings of the recluse in Harry at the end of Bk 4.
However, if she did want to kill harry, she would have made the decision before she got attached to him: and even though she is now, she's a determined woman: that's why she's making me wait

Well, if you think about it, Harry most likely dies young. (Down with Potter! Draco Forever! lol... I'm a fanfic author, can you tell?)
His and Voldemort's wands are connected... that seems like a plug for the 'to kill your enemy you must sacrifice yourself' sort of plot. A microcosm of that type of plot took place in Book 1, in the Chess match.

yes, i think that would be a very tidy way of ending it.
the other option of course is that harry defeats voldemort, but in a similar way to voldemort, harry vanishes and no one ever finds out what happened to him.........of course, if JKR puts in some serious lover interest for harry this might not be easy to do....unless the love interest is killed off of course.....

Well, according to the BBC news, JK Rowling is tweaking the fifth book now - it should be at the publishers soon, and then out five months after that: so I'm estimating about May for the release. Apparently, there is a shock in this book - I'm thinking that one of the three (Ron, Hermione, Harry) is going to die soon . . .
And I agree that Harry will probably die at the end of the seventh - she has said categorically that she wouldn't be writing any more.

Don't think Harry will die, but I have Fudge, Percy, Dumbledore, Lupin and Snape down to go over the course of the rest of the series.

I suppose he could withdraw from public life...which kind of happened at the end of the fourth book after .... died.
I can see Dumbledore dying, or perhaps Ron or Hermione dying [which could trigger Harry as a recluse] If it does happen though, I don't think it will be till the last book, or the penultimate: as he still needs them at the moment!

Don't kill Snape! (I like Snape, in the films more than the books actually)
Am I allowed to ask the killer question: who will play Sirius Black, Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew? (or should I move that to a different thread so as not to upset this one?)
The Future....
Catwoman Posted Nov 16, 2002
Oops, sorry, looks like that's already going in the thread 'The Weasleys' so I'll go away now. Sorry to interrupt the proceedings.

I think those predictions are all over the place - I'd like to propose one of my history professors for the part of Pettigrew - he looks just right, and his name's Pettegree (which tends to make me want to giggle in lectures!)
I think Snape as Rickman plays him, is kind of like Snape by the time of Book IV - in the books he's utterly horrid in 1-3 (especially in PoA), but in GoF he becomes a bit more sympathetic - standing up to Karkaroff and Fudge - which is how Rickman seems to be playing him.

Alan Rickman was a good casting...as was Maggy Smith, but what do you think of the kids?
What is the Order of the Phoenix?
