The Future....

You mean people like me?
You know, still I think that future Harry is not gonna be about being cute so much.
Y.

Optimism's a good idea...
Something romantic might happen in the next book (I hope so), but it won't have much to do with the main plot.
The Future....
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 5, 2002
she sed more boy n gurl stuff would be happening
The Future....
Catwoman Posted Dec 6, 2002
lets go back to that.
yeah, there has to be more boy/girl stuff, cos they'll be older, and boy/girl stuff happens when you're 15, whether it's the end of thr world or not.
The Future....
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 6, 2002
*isn't sure she wants to reader dark boy'n'girl stuff*
The Future....
Catwoman Posted Dec 7, 2002
Hopefully some dark stuff, but some nice boy/girl stuff to lighten mood.
(Hermione/Ron handshake!)
The Future....
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 7, 2002

The Future....
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 8, 2002

My cousin has an interesting theory, he thinks that Harry will kill Voldemort and then go back in time and become Dumbledore. Not sure about that one, although it does explain a few things. ie. how does dumbledore know certain things.
Dumbledore cannot die though, because he is immortal, how else could he have been there when the philophers stone was made 600 years ago?

I always did wonder how he created the Phil. Stone with Flamel...If Flamel needed it to stay alive, wouldn't Dumbledore?
The Future....
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 10, 2002
Where does it say he helped create the stone?
It says Flamel created the stone, and that Dumbledore is famed for his work on alchemy with Flamel - BUT that does not mean that he helped make the stone.
There's more to alchemy than just that - although it has always been considered the pinnacle, why wouldn't the guy who found the way to make a philosopher's stone use his now eternal life to take alchemy even further - and use Dumbledore's help for that.
The Future....
The Rogue aka Phoniex Posted Dec 10, 2002
but, what if dumbledore took some of the potion with flammel and it sez in the 4th book that dumbledore looks a lot tireder then harry had ever seen him
The Future....
Catwoman Posted Dec 10, 2002
You're all making things up. Dumbledore is old, but not in a needing-supernatural-explanation sort of way.
And if Dumbledore had taken some of the potion then that wouldn't make a difference if he still hasn't exceeded his natural lifespan.
He's tired due to being an old man and having bed guys returning from beyond the grave, wouldn't that give you a teensy bit of insomnia?
I didn't expect any of the Ron/Hermione stuff to be getting going just yet either, but if they want to hint at things that re going to happen later on, then I won't complain (and will in fact go 'yay!' everytime it happens)
The Future....

further than the pinicle? that is a contradiction in terms, once you have the philopsers stone, you can't go any further. If Dumbledore helped with alchemy, it MUST have been the stone, or before it. And if he was using the elixer of life he wouldn't just be getting tired, he would be dead. Flamel was using stored elixer, and that wasn't going to last long, without any, dumbledore would be dead before the start of the next term.

How d'you know you can't go beyond the Philosopher's Stone in alchemy - esp. in the wizard world - most alchemists spend their lives trying to reach the level of making the Stone. Flamel got the chance to see if he could go further.
