I read fairly recently that the word 'dessert' originated from when people left the table after a meal, while it was cleared by their servants- they'd stand around and eat sweetmeats and stuff. Wal Mart are in the UK but they've disguised themselves
as some other store.

Wal-Mart has been around long enough that other stores have figured out how to compete against them. They are probably not going to grow much more, if at all.
