Glad it wasn't too bad, Bel! Try what I do - get one of those foot spa thingies... half an hour with your feet in one of those, and they feel alive again!
also helps...

He only mentioned a foot bath.
Well, this job is interesting.
It is so different from my other job, you'd think the shops were worlds apart, and not just a few metres.

I lead a sheltered and quiet life in the health-food shop.
The bakery opens at 6.00am - the first customers come in at 5.45.
There's not a single quiet minute all morning. If there aren't any customers for a moment, you have to rearrange the goods, stock up on buns and Kreppl, clean things etc. I was there for six hours yesterday, and for a good six hours today - and there wasn't a minute to catch your breath on either day.

I have lead a sheltered life - never in sixty years have I found it necessary to queue for bread at 5:45 am. Have I been missing something?

There used to be a little bakery in Talacre, North Wales, where they used to open for those going back to the holiday camps from the club.. We used to queue up for 'binlids' and they were still very hot and gorgeous with butter, if you managed to get them back intact

They bake quite a lot of the buns and stuff in the shop, so you can get the warm food, too.
Oooh, they have a lovely onion cake.
After all, it's Federweißer time now.
