It's very stressful. No break, no food, not a moment to get some breath.

Some stress is only to be expected at a new job. When I started my new job I dreamt about it for the first few nights. smiley - weird

Thanks MMF and Pierce. smiley - biggrin

Elentari, although I agree in principle, there is stress and there is stress. I've done very many jobs in my life, and this one is by far the most stressful.

Did another shift today. My feet are fine, but my legs were a bit heavy in the end.

The husband again told me not to do this job because it's so badly paid. Add to this that I was told today that any differences in the cash register would be subtracted from the wages, and that days after bank holidays can't be taken off, plus a few other things, and I'll really have to have second thoughts about this job.
Staff can't buy any of the goods at a reduced price, leftovers are sent back to the main bakery and are sold in an 'Altbrotshop' (a shop that sells bread, buns and cake from the day before at a reduced price) in the city centre the next day - and all this for just €5.50/h (depending on how stron the € is that's between £3.3 £3.5); no paid holidays or days when you're ill (that's the negative aspect of the 'mini jobs')...

I wonder what I'll find out next. smiley - erm

smiley - erm Sounds like far too much stress for too little gain, Bel. I'm sure you can find something a lot better.

Oh, and I forgot: you have to wash the 'uniform' (white blouse, red apron, red cravat) yourself.
