Wahey! I adore riding.
I am relieved to hear that you didn't play golf. Golf is the 'sport' of the devil.
I won an award!

Ali - it was riding (the one you didn't mention 3 posts ago). Now - are you going to tell us the Exciting News?

Ali Dubya Posted May 18, 2003
Legers, riding horses is far better than backing them, as I have recently found to my cost. The last one I backed was so bad it has since been turned into a bumper pack of Evostik and a pork pie.

I agree, that must of been real bad. I must disagree with you about golf. It's reather the sport of heaven. Nice and smooth.
Society is going down.

I used to have a Saturday job in a bookies. That taught me a lot! I sometimes have a little bet on a big race - but it's only worth doing if it's really long-odds. And never go for those complicated bets - you can end up with loads of winners and <0 to show for it.
Ali - we are still waiting

Hazel, I told you: I won an award! A rugby award.

wysiwyger Posted May 18, 2003
Sorry Ali - I misunderstood what you were saying! Why did you win a rugby award? Was it something to do with Scrumming?
Which is the Eject Button Hazel?
Ali Dubya Posted May 18, 2003
It was the coaches' 'player of the year' thingy. I have nothing to do with the scrum because I'm not hard and psychotic enough.
I was given this little statuette thingummy with a figure of a bloke with skinny legs and a rugby ball which looks like a loaf of bread.

From where I'm standing (very very far away and not really looking) - aren't all Rugby players hard and pyschotic?
Have some anyway!

Rugby player don't have skinny legs, though the bread idea is funny.

Not at all, Hazel. We're all either (a) repressed homosexuals or (b) little lambkins who wouldn't say boo to a goose.
Must fly now....

Morning all.
Golf's not a sport: 'relugar pooters' will have seen my detailed and irrefutable reasoning in this regard over on AF some weeks ago.

Good morning Peter,
All I can say in response is, "Hey, kids, rock'n'roll."

LegersV007 Posted May 19, 2003
Hello all
I think its quite empty here cause of the Monday thing. Everyone is busy and angry that the weekend is over. To be honest, I think that mondays should be illegal
