V Max you look FAB in leather....

wysiwyger Posted May 14, 2003
I'm just waiting for some paint to dry
Yeah - Jude Law's a Wuss!
VMax - I think the American-themed room is starting to look a bit like a scraop yard, what with Legers' old trucks and your Harley (no, not YOUR Harley - I would never do such a thing!)

Now Hazel,
What about a nice woodland theme to your decor?
I know a place not 20 yards from here where there is a whole mountain of ill gotten dead wood.....
You could go for a lumberyard feel perhaps?
Danger! Woman at Work!
wysiwyger Posted May 14, 2003
CG - I take it that some-one has cut down some trees, and you are a bit cross about it? (Sorry if I have missed the gory details already).
Actually, I do have a real fireplace where I burn wood (and sometimes real coal which is not really allowed here - but hey - live dangerously ).
I burn any old dead wood I find - always amazed that people pay for those little bundles sold at petrol stations.

Hazel - yes they have - 2 days ago after I have fought (for two whole effing years all through time my mum was dying too) through countless Parish Council meetings District C, Planning committees and finally an full blown Appeal. We won them all - and then with clandestine stealth and no notification to anyone who should have been told these beautiful trees were declared 'diseased' not a few months ago they weren't!
I am hoping or should that be hopping? MAD and So So SAD - many many 's and no sleep....
so thought I would vent some spleen on extenting the Is this thread by talking to myself....

That's really terrible CG. It just shows that some people can't stand to lose, they have no sense of justice and absolutely must have things their own way. I have also come across people like that and I don't really understand how their minds work.
I'm very sorry to hear about your Mum.
Please feel free to vent away. The bit of painting I have done was quite therapeutic - although looking at how much is left to finish is a bit depressing!

Thanks for that Hazel,
some people are....well.....sad.... and immoral little *hits!
I think you are brave lady for tackling decorating - I give up as soon as I realize it's me who has to do the sanding and the cleaning of brushes!

I hate licking envelopes. I just gave my tongue a paper cut. awfull.
I'm very sad to hear about your misfortunes. Very much so about your mum, I can also understand about the trees. We had a terrible freezing rain strom and lost more than 100 full grown cedars.
I've recently finished painting my room Sage green with a darker shade on the borders. The first stroke was so intimidating! My brother helped in one corner of the room and coincidentally that's the corner with 3 mistakes on it but we had oh so much fun. the lines on the borders are croockeed where I was laughing to hard.

Hello Petunia (or do you prefer BoP?),
are you still at work? I find it hard enough to keep track of the time on this side of the pond! Sage green sounds good - very restful for a bedroom.

Hello all
Its is quite mest up about the trees and you mom, but bad things happen. For example petuias paper cut
Wysi, it might be a good idea about a scrap yard look for your bed room. Though you might want to wear some leather pigamas cause regular sleeping stuff just won't work with it.
About painting, I did a lot of it but for some reason I can NEVER get the paint to lay on the walls even. Always get them friggin lines.

Hello Hazel (my strawberry cheesecake), and a very good evening to everyone (including my mum),
Sage green in the bedroom? Sage green anywhere? Yeeeurrrrrgh.
I want to paint my bedroom purple. Using your expert interior decorating expertise, can you tell me if this is a good idea or no?
Danger! Woman at Work!
wysiwyger Posted May 14, 2003
Ali (pet) - i thought you hated decorating? Anyway, purple is not a good idea - almost anywhere .
If your bedroom is sunny, then yellow is good (more gold than canary). Otherwise, sage green (yes, really) or how about turquoise woodwork with honey-coloured walls? Or maybe Legers scrapyard theme would work for you?

LegersV007 Posted May 14, 2003
you right, the scrap yard idea is a good one. But I'm just too lasy to look for the junk when I already have a nice Ikea bed that so far was of a good service to me.
Ali, no offence but a purple is a terrible idea. A red pok a dot might do a better job.

wysiwyger Posted May 14, 2003
Legers - your spelling is a revelation! I love Pigamas and pok a dot! In fact I am going to buy some Pok a Dot Pigamas tomorrow (purple ones, naturally).
Danger! Woman at Work!
LegersV007 Posted May 14, 2003
Glad to be of service. Are the pigamas going to be leather, if so, make sure you sleep with an air conditioner on. Otherwise the fire is inevitable

wysiwyger Posted May 14, 2003
Definitely purple leather pok a dot pigamas with a/c. Who needs comfort when you can be a fashion-leader?
Goodnight!

LegersV007 Posted May 14, 2003
An incredibly good idea. Fasihon is the way of the future, lets just remember the new shoe designs and we'll be able to see that.
Good night to you too
