When The Music's Over
What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

Write the president,
tell him what you think. It only takes a minute to send off an email, and he won't read it I know. But I think if there were tons of them coming at some point he would have to acknowledge there is plenty of opposition to this self destructive scheme he has involved us in.

You are what you eat.
Chickens are crammed by the thousands into sheds, each with less space than a sheet of notebook paper.
They are fed drugs and are genetically bred to grow so large and so quickly that their legs, lungs, and hearts can’t keep up. Many suffer lung collapse, heart failure, and crippling leg deformities.
On the farm cruelty is totally unregulated. Examples are painful mutilations, like having their beaks seared off, their toes, spurs, and combs chopped off, and intranasal implants through male birds’ nasal cavities so they can't reach through the cage to eat the females’ food.
At slaughter, chickens are dumped from cages, snapped by their weakened and sometimes broken legs into metal shackles, then their heads are passed through an electrically charged water bath that immobilizes them.
When the “baths” are below the level to kill them, as they often are, the animals are alive, conscious, and bleeding to death after their throats are slit, and they enter the scalding tank.
And then.......
they are shipped off to KFC, who fries them up into a nice bucket for the family.
In memory of Lilith Cookie
I lost a dear friend recently who taught me so many things.
