Delicia - The world's acutest kitten

Your mother taught you something remarkable, if you don't mind my saying so, you as a grandmother being the one who hath seniority here.
You know one of the things that shocked me most after emerging from behind the iron curtain was meeting so many people who hated communism so much, that they would not have thought anything of carpet bombing the whole area and eradicate all of us alongside it. Contrary to the popular idea about murderous commies we (the ordinary people anyway) weren't like that at all. We were taught to sympathise with all victims of oppression. We were incredibly harmless and naive. That's why I'm impressed to meet somebody in the US who's been taught sympathy too. smiley - winkeye
What I'm trying to figure out about some of the Indians I met is how they can talk so much about hoops, and apparently see nothing whatsoever of the hoops humanity is going through.
But then, maybe those who really know don't talk so damn much as those who don't. Which reminds me...I'm talking way too much. smiley - smiley

why thank, I don't mind you saying so at all, it is the thing I value most that I got from her. I think she was one of the greatest women that ever lived and she was a simple woman, I guess I prefer things that way. It is so hard to imagine that such a large group of people can become homocidal in tandem like that. I mean you can believe a single person would do some horrible cruel thing, but when whole groups of them become involved? Maybe it is like they are all possessed by the devil? They say there is an equal and opposite to everything don't they. Like Good vs Evil in every spectrum of humanity. So if we work very hard and increase the good maybe the laws of relativity will cause the evil to match the increase and we'll never get anywhere. Maybe we should try to wipe goodness out all together and there would be neither, just nothingness. guess that'd be pretty boring smiley - geek

So you mean if there is no good, then there is no evil either? Hooha, that's a good one! smiley - disco But then again, maybe it has happened already, and there is no good nor evil left anymore if it ever existed. Now that's deep...very deep...water. smiley - bigeyes

I seem to find myself in very deep water quite often. And what is really strange is I still have this unfounded confindence in my swimming abilities, despite the fact that I have been unable to move even a fraction of a inch closer to the distant and inviting shore. But what else can I do but keep on paddling?

paddling is not only about getting to the shore, but chiefly about keeping above water, what? smiley - winkeye Bit like Alice behind the looking glass...so lets keep on paddling.

And do be kind to us meat eaters, we can't help it, indeed no ma'm, sorry ma'm, ingrained habit from 100 000 years, and they say that Europeans possibly have some Neanderthal genes, and they apparently were pure carnivores, like lions and wolves...
But whenever you should visit me it will be plant food for the whole duration of your stay, including this Neanderthal...

good morning DC. I am still resisting, haven't even had a cigar in several days. haven't been to pan in a very long time, guess I better drop by there. I've been preoccupied lately it seems like. Running Jamie around to ball games. Trying to redo my web page and maybe get some work coming. I haven't worked in two weeks solid. I hate that feeling. I get so restless, not to mention Jerry sorta expects me to do the nice/neat little housekeeper thing if I don't have any work going on.

Then there's this war stuff too driving me nuts. It does look like they plan to make as quick work of it as possible. All I can think of to do is just hope I was wrong. Maybe things will turn out better for the Iraqi people if they just don't drag this thing out. It looks like thats the way it's going to go no matter what anybody thinks of it anyway. It's just scary as hell wondering if this awful scenario I have imagined in my head should come true. They're talking about all these people getting behind the pres. now. What if he comes out looking like some sort of hero and they re-elect him? Bush will be the downfall of virtually every cause I feel to be important in our country right now. He's tried hard already to push us to some old testament christian mentality. He thinks if he keeps talking about God, folks won't notice that he doesn't care about anything but power and capital. Not only is he giving Americans a bad name, but I bet God is wishing he would just stop talking about him too.

I can't wait to see your photos. I have about four rolls of film sitting on my table myself right now. Maybe I'll get around to taking it in one day and I can show you how cute Jamie looks in her softball outfit smiley - smiley

you'll get it all, once i get round managing that angelfire site i started. Then again, i may just go the easy way and upload it all to pan.
I'm a bit busy, springtime, and i have to get my field experiments organised. Funnily enough those busy times are often when i do things i really got no time for.
