It was a song from the musical play "Wonderful Town," starring Rosalind Russell and Edie Adams. Leonard Bernstein wrote the music. I am not sure who wrote the lyrics, but it might have been Comden and green.

Maybe we could turn ourselves into a conventional fanclub. You know the sort that never get's to with in a million miles of their idol. But sends out fake signed photographs to gullible desperate fans. Of course I mean this metaphorically!

In truth, I have a photo of myself, Lady Scott, Fluffy Pink Rabbit, and Avenging Washcloth (actually, a *real* washcloth, but it was an authorized washcloth) in a tram in a chocolate factory
