Currently listening to: The very, very quiet house Tine is back from her two-week holiday with Daniel, and she's ill, so she's staying home. Usually I play loud music at this time since no one else is home, but yesterday I forgot Tine was sleeping, so she got very mad when she was woken up by the Kaizers Orchestra
Have you ever heard Kaizers Orchestra? Probably not, since they're one of the few Norwegian bands that are actually any good You probably get attacked by Royksopp and the like. If you haven't, you can possibly find some soundfiles here: http://www.kaizers.no/index.php3?ID=English if you navigate a bit. I didn't like them at first, I thought they were too noisy, but now I think they're dead cool They have an original sound that's almost grotesque (blow organ, bass drum and accordions - although that sounds really geeky when I say it) and their texts are full of morbid and paranoid counterpoints
Ah, yes, we've talked about rather many weird things. I imagine the day when we realize we don't find anything more to say and we probably'll start to make words up as we go along. Or hjksfh?
Well, a *certain war* has begun, I hear Have you heard we're not allowed to discuss it on h2g2? Any posts mentioning it will show up failed Think of it what you will...
Well, I imagine I will have a pretty boring day (with PE at the end ) so frankly, I wouldn't mind hearing some morbid facts. Come on, fire away *Ducks for cover*
Well, school is about to start. I better get ready with my Uninterested Look... "Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door/Who is it for?"

Currently listening to: "Evil man make me kill ya, evil man make you kill me, evil man make me kill you, even though we’re only families apart..." Amazing how songs can simplify everything that's going on in the world, and that was Jimi Hendrix with 'Machine Gun', a twelve minute improvised peice which is just mind blowing, especially given the current situation.
Yes, no talking about it I know. So I shall force my lips to utter some trivial peice of cally tripe, in order to please this world run by f*****g capitalists and guys in the big high backed chair with their fingers wrapped around their goddamn cigars because they have the desperate insecurities. I wont be surprised if this is removed with great speed... but if it is removed, it shows I hit a nerve with someone up there. And that would be better than anything that could come out of my anger...
Yeah, calming down. Ok. Right. Lets get down to some morbid facts:
The person who wrote the famous song, "Keep the Home Fires Burning" burnt to death when their home caught fire.
Napoleon killed over a thousand people with a cough. In 1799 he was deciding whether to release 1,200 Turkish prisoners of war when he coughed and said, "Ma sacre tough!" (my darned cough) which sounded to officers like "Massacrez tour!" (Kill them all!)
A few months before he got killed in a car accident, James Dean made a driver's safety TV ad in which he said, "Drive safely; the life you save may be mine".
By law, all executed criminals in the U.S. have to have an autopsy to determine cause of death.
Playwright Tennessee Williams died after choking on the cap of a bottle of eyedrops
I have loads more if you're interested...

Currently listening to: My mother getting ready for some course she got to do today...
Well, they haven't yikesed it yet, so I guess it's okay as we don't get too political. So to say it quickly: I think war is and will always be cruel, inhuman and all in all unnecessary When we talk about it in class, I feel like I'm the only one who actually see that this is REAL PEOPLE'S LIVES were talking about - nobody else bats an eyelid when they hear "a 1000nd people lost their lifes today." They only ask "On which side?" I feel so wortless - isn't there anything I can do to stop it all, or at least show that I'm utterly and fully against ANY kind of war? People DIE! People that breathe, laugh, cry and think like us lose their sons, their mothers, their friends - only because of TWO not too clever men, if I've understood this right?
I don't know if I went too far here, but so be it
Well, I went to the funeral of my uncle yesterday, and it would be a lie to say I didn't cry Although I didn't know him very well, I learned a couple of things during they rememberance speeches that surprised me - we were actually very much alike! That may possibly sound a bit funny as he was a successful weight-lifter and called the "strongest Bear in Eidsvoll" (his name was Bjørn, which actually is Norwegian for "bear") but actually both of us read many of the same books, and have many similiar eccentricities Knowing that made me a bit sad, as I feel the world could need as many of us as possible...
But I'm not sad any more now, I can assure you I'm actually feeling very glad - I've sent off my very looong letter to the teacher I've told you about. Finally!
I've also gotten a job - the big band my mother plays with is having a concert celebrating the great Norwegian song-writer Alf Prøysen (Heard of him? Nah, didn't think so ) and I'm hired to sing two songs and play trumpet with the big band on the rest. The two songs I've got to sing is so appalingly different, I think it's quite funny - the first I got to sing, is a children's song called "the Teddy Bear's Song" and I act out/sing as the little girl Marian, who gets a teddybear for her fifth birthday (all cute and blonde and ribboned ) while on my second song, a nasty, almost grotesque song called "The Carpenter Guys" I'm playing one of the bad, four brothers who've come to crash the party and beat up the guy who made their sister pregnant. While all the other brothers (played by REAL men, by the way) sings in loud, bass voices, my character, Teodor, is meant to be much, much younger than them, and so I have to fake that my voice cracks and goes up. Have you ever tried to make your voice crack like a boy's? We almost couldn't stop laughing at rehearsal I think I need to do some real studying as far as young boys' vocal chords are concerned...
Well, my food is ready soon, and Tine is yelling to put the plates on the table, so I better get started
Oh, and please come with some more morbid facts if you can
Toodles!

Currently listening to: Blurs new song, 'out of time'.. We just can't escape the politics.
Yes, people seem to forget that people die in wars, stupid as it sounds. People actually seem to think it doesn't matter because they aren't tripping over the corpses. What an ignorant attitude to take. No wonder teenagers are stereotyped as all being apathetic, opposite sex crazed, air headed morons. But then again, you look at the adults in charge... not much better.
I have a question to ask you. If my informant is hideously mistaken, I will write to The Sunday Times newspaper and have it sorted out. Well y'see.. I was reading one of the magazines that came free with our newspaper (The Sunday Times Culture) and I came across a section on The White Stripes. I got all excited, as I like them very much etc, and I read the article all the way to the bottom even though it was written Mark Edwards and he always struck me as a bit of a t**t, but even he couldn't think of a bad thing to say about them.
Aaanyway, at the end of the article he mentioned an incident that recently occured, not sure where exactly, which is why I'm asking. I'll quote:
"And it's good to see that it isn't just in the music itself that younger bands are referencing the artists of earlier decades. Showmanship, too, has gone retro. Only last week, a fan was injured at a gig by the Norwegian death-metal band 'Mayhem' when he was hit by a flying sheeps head. The sheep was being decapitated on stage by Mayhem's singer, Maniac. Ozzy Osbourne would have been proud of him."
It didn't say where the concert was, but surely I would have noticed the headline "Man injured by flying sheeps head" if it happened over here And by what you have already told me, it looks like Norway has a certain obsession with decapitated sheeps heads (check latter posting about sheeps head found in mans car)
http://asylumeclectica.com/morbid/archives/index.html
More morbid facts? It would be my pleasure :
Michael Scaglione killed himself with a golf club in 1982. Angry about a poor shot, he threw the club at a golf cart. A portion broke off, flew back at him, and severed his jugular vein.
Engineer Suhrid Ganguly, 22, hanged himself in Calcutta, India, after becoming despondent trying to get his telephone fixed. He discovered it was impossible to get a phone engineer out without paying a bribe. Wrote Ganguly in his suicide note, "[T]here is no other way to change the system and get an honest right to live."
Sandra Ilene West, an oil heiress, was buried in 1977 wearing a lace negligee and seated behind the wheel of her powder-blue 1964 Ferrari.
I went to see The Pianist yesterday.. I think that has to be the first time I've ever come out of a cinema utterly gobsmacked and unable to speak. The first thing I said when I got out was "Polanski's back" and didn't say another word until I got outside. It was amazing. I think I may be in love with Adrien Brody. I could think of so many things that I liked about that film, but I'm still pretty gobsmacked. Give me another day and I'll wax lyrical about it for an entire post. And Adrien Brody was superb. Well, at least he isn't 50 years older than me like most of the men I seem to go for... but apart from that all I can think of to say is 'See it soon'

Currently listening to: Well, you know me - 'Twist and shout' with the Beatles
Ah yes, I'm already familiar with the sheepshead incident - although I guess you are the first one to draw the parallell between that and the car-thing I remember when the Mayhem-concert was written about in the newspapers (it happened in Bergen, appearantly), and I nearly had a laughing fit when I saw the picture - since the victim had to sew a few stitches they had to shave off half of his long, headbanging-designed hair Although a minor (and morbid) detail is wrong in your quote: The sheep wasn't actually decapitated on stage (if it was, it would have been a much bigger case) No; Mayhem's gimmick is to do various things with decapitated animal heads (oxen and sheep mostly) who've they've gotten from the butcher's - so they don't do any decapitating themselves, they only use leftovers from butchering What happened was that Maniac tried to yank out a knife that was stuck in the (already decapitated) head, and he involuntarily flung the head out in the audience... So actually, they didn't mean to and they appologized to the victim afterwards Aww, those nice young death-metalers...
I'm already starting to get geared-up for my birthday The wish list is already in the making, and I've put my silliest wish up at front - a carboard cut-out of Knut Nærum I've noticed they're in various shops advertising about his newest book (which I've long ago bought and gotten signed, by the way) Okay, so he may not be the handsomest chap in the world: http://www.cappelen.no/webimg/art/w125/2280.jpg but as I'm not quite like all the other teenagers I feel it would suit nicely in my bedroom window
Edward Gorey! That's it! Finally You have no idea how long I've been searching for that name, Edward Gorey. It started when I once leafed through a copy of "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" (which I soon found out was a very, very hard title to remember ) and afterwards wanted to buy it, and I couldn't remember the title or the author... I've now finally remembered it, though; Edward Gorey! Yes! That'll be on my wishlist as well...
"[T]here is no other way to change the system and get an honest right to live."
Ugh, I know that feeling Just like when I want to do things only because squeemish parents are certain various things will subconciously make me kill my parents and so on. A bad example, but as parents want to cancel all Harry Potter stuff (which would be okay by me, really) because the think it will make their kids start with BLACK MAGIC! I can imagine it:
(MOM rushes in as CHILD is preparing to sacrifice the mailman)
Mom: "EEK! My precious child, what are you doing?"
Child: "Mom, get out, I'm about to sacrifice a soul to Belzebub."
Mom: "But, why? What makes you do this gastly thing?"
Child: "Harry Potter, of course."
Nah, I can't see it But the fact that they airbrushed the cigarette from the 'Abbey Road' picture I feel like starting to smoke only to spite them... If it wasn't for my utter dislike of smoking, that is
It was actually only yesterday when I turned to my mother and said; "I want to see the Pianist." Of course, since Norway isn't a particulary prioritied country, it probably won't be put up on any Norwegian cinemas before a couple of weeks They always do that. But I admit I have also secretly been drooling over Adrien Brody on the commercials too I mean think he's so incredibly sweet-looking! But then it might just be the costumes - I have a thing about those hats
I should make myself some delicious supper now,

Currently listening to: Myself humming Coldplay 'Everything's Not Lost'. I went to see them last night at the Albert Hall and they were amazing, superb even, and since then I can't get this song out of my head...
"So if you ever feel neglected, and if you think all is lost,
I'll be counting up my demons, yeah, hoping everything's not lost..."
Ok, I'll be writing to Mr Edwards complaining that he got that tiny fact wrong. Oh he'll be sorry for his shabby reporting alright. Prepare to be humiliated Mr 'I know all about Norwegian death metal'...
I have to say, that Satanist, sacrificing the mailman sketch there had me grinning. That could work very well, it wouldn't be out of place in 'Monty Pythons Flying Circus'... Hmm. Maybe it's about time there was a new Monty Python in town... How about it? We could make a hellova lotta money if this goes to plan.
Goodness me, it's nearly your Birthday? Well I never. I'll have to think about really useless presents... lets see, what did I get you last year? I know, I'll get you the same thing but in yellow. You liked it last year so surely you'd like it this year!

Oh, so you went to a concert finally? How are Coldplay as a live band? I ask you, since I probably won't ever experience them myself...
Ah yes, "Monty Pythonlings comes to town!" I can see the headlines "M.P. Respawn!" I bet you and I could make our sketches twice as surrealistic and meaningless, judged by my last exam I should be good at that.
Well, it isn't quite nearly my birthday yet, it isn't even close, to be exact, it's just that my family is all geared up for making me a, and I quote, "Helluva birthday party" so I get a bit excited too, I guess. And it's never too early for making wishlists
*Sigh* This is one of the "no comment"-days. I'm not quite sure what's going on I don't know if I'm happy or gloomy, I'm just tired. But oh! I got an answer from my former teacher yesterday on e-mail, and he was delighted I had written him! I must admit I was a bit shocked that he answered - not that I aren't glad he did, I just never thought so far. It's a bit cruel, too, don't you think? Think how long time I was struggling to get that first letter just right, and now I have to write him another one ... I'm really relieved he was glad I did it, though. It's one of those things were you just want to make sure a person you respect approves of what you're doing...
Well, I should first check out spimcoot's new "Eustace" , then eat my dinner, and then drive for an hour to get back to Råholt (there is a tiny concert there I'm going to be playing at)

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been up in Nottingham visiting my Grandparents. Well it's been a while, but I finally got to see my cousin Nina's baby... wow. It has to be the sweetest little thing I've ever seen, she didn't crark or creech once. Not in the entire time we were there. I have the feeling she'll be special. Scuse me while I go all soppy on you, but I feel that this is the only time in a persons life when they are totally pure, and it's best to make the most of that time before they grow up and break your heart. Ah well, she's cute is all I'm trying to say.
Ahh yeah! Coldplay are fantastic live. There's so much more energy and power in their songs To be honest they sound pathetic in comparison when recorded, still good but when compared to their live sets they look pretty average.
I'm impressed that you wrote to him in the first place. It would have taken me a lot of courage to write a letter to someone like you did. I think it's really nice what you did.
I happen to have a book full of unpublished scripts written by his lord and greatness Sir Graham of Chapman. Yes, we could be the next in a brand new breed of Pythoners!

Currently listening to: Some old shows of the Goons I've downloaded Hey, this is actually pretty funny!
Aw, I know what you mean about babies - they're so incredibly sweet-faced and innocent at that age, it makes no wonder why those cheezy porcelain angels you buy in discount stores got baby faces My own niece, Maja (sorry if I keep switching between writing it with a J and a I, because no one here knows which way to spell it ) she's in such wondrous good mood always, and when she first starts crying, she only does it for a short while
Ugh, I'm right where I started Last week I didn't have a single book to read in, so on Saturday I bought three books; and in a matter of two days I read them all through, so now I've got NOTHING to read! The one book was a collection of Lewis Carrol's work, which I simply loved. The Mad Hatter has become one of my new rolemodels and each time I try to sing the song "Ebony and Ivory" it now sounds "Twiddledum and twiddledee/Live together in perfect harmony..." And the other book was "The HHGTTG Original Radio Script", which was chockful of fun trivia - did you know some of the lines may imply some surprising trivia, like that in the second season Zaphod may have four arms, and not three? And that one of Zaphod's heads can only speek French? Appearantly some of my classmates didn't think this was as interesting as I thought
Well, I haven't got much time left on the computer as I sadly made Tine addicted to an online game So I gotta give it up now

Ugh, Nottingham was unbearable as usual. I'd have enjoyed sticking hot pins under my fingernails more. My Grandparents complained constantly and made the entire weekend pretty dull. I love them, don't get me wrong, but they never think about how what they say affects anyone else. THAT is obvious by some of the things they have said to my Dad.

Anyway, like when I've just got a bang on my left ear, and suddenly I'm losing sleep because I can't lie on my left side! That's how complex I am ...
"How did you work that one out?"
Thank you for taking an interest, I just got a blank stare when I told that at school That was appearantly an idea Mark Wing-Davey put out when they were doing the radio shows, and among others, in the sixth fit, he improvised and said "No problem! - Pas de problème!" Okay, so not ground-breaking evidence, but that's at least what Mark Wing-Davey and my (oh so useful) Radio Scripts says

Currently listening to: Harry 'Imagination' .. "That's all I want from youu..." Don't really like the song all that much, it just happened to be on.
Now I have a reason for learning French! I really hate French but that's a good enough reason for wanting to learn. And about the DNA incident, talk about bad luck.. If only the time machine I invented actually worked. Then you could go back in time, whack the 1998 version of you around the head and tell yourself to get over there pronto. Ah well, as Zaphods other head would probably say, c'est la vie.
I'm desperately trying to find some converse baseball trainers. But as I live in the middle of what seems like nowhere, it's quite impossible to find a cheap pair without having to travel deep into the dark depths of London... I would buy them online but I'm not one of those lucky people who can just pick a size and they fit. I have weird feet. But anyway... I WANT A PAIR OF CHUCK TAYLORS!!
Well my next concert is Placebo. Supported by The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster ( two of my favourite bands all in the same place) and Little Hell. It's during half term, so it's convenient. The only problem is.. it's at Brixton Academy Just a bit dodgy around there... just a bit.
Well tommorow is Saturday. Yup. Saturday. That means I have to do something. Or I shall die of sheer boredom, being in the same house as my parents for a week. So. I have my day worked out. It goes a little something like this:
9.am. Flop out of bed and drag myself downstairs for coffee and classical music.
9.30.am. Do all the necessary things such as washing and dressing.
10.30.am. Do my paper round, get bitten by dogs, yelled at by old people and spat on by passing drivers... y'know, the usual.
12.00.pm. Eat something, have a shower, get changed.
1.00.pm. Arrive at friends house. Have fun etc.
7.00.pm. After waiting in the freezing cold for an hour to get in, make my way into the urine smelling hell hole that is the Pioneer.
7.00.pm-11.00.pm. Spends time insulting the babybats, refusing poppers and cider, and questioning Tom (a friends new boyfriend, who I haven't met who also apparently wears a dress)
11.00.pm + Either stagger back to friends house where I collapse on the floor, or walk back to friends house where my Father will pick me up.
God. Sounds terrible doesn't it
Next Wednesday our Drama teacher is taking us to see Blood Brothers at the theatre, so that should be fun. Small problem.. we get back at about 11.30 in the evening.. and it takes half an hour to get home. Crikey! I'd better get the morning off on Thursday or I'll be in a reeally bad mood..

Currently listening to: Myself humming Bob Dylan's "Hurricane". Yup, Prof. Petter has been bitten by the Dylan bug and made the whole class listen to that song several times today... But I adapt very easily to old music, in contrary to my classmates who couldn't stop complaining and emitting snore-noises.
Wow, you really go to concerts a lot more often than I do O cultural person, I worship thee as I am but a worthless loser who haven't the opportunity to jump up and down in a sweaty crowd while things continues to go wrong with the sound-equipment... No, the only concerts I've attended to lately I have had gigs at myself, and most of them involved someone shouting "Play some newer music!", bad chokolate cake and indecent exposure *Goes to a dark corner and rocks back and fro, chanting "It's over now, it's over now..."*
Well, I haven't got any plans for tomorrow yet. It'll probably be like yours, only duller and without any job to do, which is even duller But the only thing I demand mostly from Saturdays are the privielege to sleep in looooong, so long my bedroom curtains are lit up by the sun "Hoh, what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day..."
And you know, I've had a darn fine day today too First thing at school I delivered my project presentation (and everything that could go wrong, did), but since it's the sort of thing you keep putting off and the teacher thought I did well anyway, I'm glad it's over with. Then I ate my lunch out in the warm spring sun, after that I delivered an all-right glossary test in a remarkable short time the teacher doubled-checked because of sheer doubt And the last part of the schoolday we watched old Chaplin-movies, which is a cute thing to do on spring days. Further on, Prof. Petter has been ina remarkable good mood all day, and kept singing that song, you know, that goes, "Loving you is easy 'cause you're beautiful... Making love to you... Is all I wanna do... Lalalala...." And a content teacher results in content students
Excuse me if I seem to be running over with happiness, it's just that lately my good days has been rather limited
Well, you go on with your "not-as-dull-as-mine" Saturday, and I'll smile warmly out the window for a while...

So now I'm desperately trying to find it and hopefully delete whatever it is. THIS will be a hard thing to do as I'm completely inept when it comes to even the most basic computer maintainance. So here I am, quitely having a nervous breakdown, waiting with baited breath to see what happens. Currently listening to: Ozzy's 'Dreamer'... "I'm just a dreamer, I dream my life away, I'm just a dreamer, who dreams of better days". Love the song, plus it came with another song I love and it was only 40p from Woolworths... amazing bargain. I am somewhat of a fan, but not a big one... nice to listen to while reading Anne Rice, but then again so is Dead Can Dance.
Well Wednesday is fast approaching and I'm getting all excited! I don't know if I told you about this, but I'm going to see a theatre production of A Clockwork Orange at my local one. This is going to either be hillariously bad or amazingly good. It could so easily go either way...
http://www.snaptheatre.co.uk/clockwork.htm
It turns out the virus could easily be healed with aid of my super virus scanner The little guy saved my life, god bless im! So anyway, I did my best, have had to stay off the computer for a while so my Dad can check too make sure everything 100% super duper, which it would appear to be.
I have two weeks holiday, so I'm looking forward to all that sleep. Sounds great doesn't it...

Currently listening to: The mieowing of my attention-starved kitten She's been acting crazy for days! Pounced on the windows when there was nothing outside, makes attempts at digging through the wooden floor, tried repeatedly to eat my head, keep acting like there's something in the basement that I should see... Now she's just sitting at my feet, looking blankly at me and saying, "Mieow... Mieow... Mieow... Mieow..." I think it isn't healthy for her to be living here, she's getting as mentally disturbed as the rest of us!
Well, I'm not too a bid fan of 'Dreamer', but I rather like 'Mama I'm coming home' - it've just become a hit over here and even though I have a problem with liking things that are popular at the time, I rather like that one
Oooh, it sounds like you've got a good reason to be excited! I've heard the stage version of ACO is a treat, I still remember when someone showed it at the Norwegian National Theatre. I wasn't old enough to see it at the time, of course, but I clearly remember all the people that tried to shut it down That reminds me, yesterday I bought a rather gigantic movie poster of that movie and I can't wait to put it up, it's just that I haven't got any suitable spot for it! Curses! If I put it where I first wanted it, it would totally steal all the attention from my Mark Riboud-poster What to do, what to do?
Oh, I went to see Bowling for Columbine at the cinema yesterday (which is a clear indicator that movies travel to Norway veeeery slowly "Knock knock, Cultural Minister of Norway") Well, I thought it was great! After what I'd heard of Michael Moore I thought it would be a documentary that would provoke me, but I quickly realized how nice it is to watch a documentary where you full-heartedly agree with the message! Plus, it must have been the first time in my life where I sat in the cinema and NO ONE IRRITATED ME. I'll repeat that: Not a single person acted annoying for a full two hours - in a public cinema for chrissake! No one rattled with candy paper, no one laughed at inappropriate moments, no one talked, not a single mobile rang...! It was so perfect I nearly got nervous! What can this mean? Is my time up or something? ... I'm frightened
*Gasp* Two weeks holiday? You have two whole weeks for holiday? As in 14 days? Why?! I only have one week, plus next Monday! It's never fair, is it? Always one of us that gets the extra goodies... (But then again, I'm going on a classtrip to Poland and Germany for a week in the end of the month Can't wait!)
Well, better go and see to my mentally disturbed cat I thought maybe some fresh air and sun would do her good...
Toodles!

Currently listening to: me singing "Mama mia mama mia!" No idea why... just one of those, spur of the moment thingies.. where you feel compelled to do things for no reason on bogs earth...
'A treat'? Hmm... that is one way of putting it... to be perfectly honest I hated it. Maybe it was the specific actors, but it seemed all so contrived and pointless. The message that Burgess was trying to get across was put second place to innuendo and fake fights. The fact they missed out several vital scenes did it no favours. The acting was appaling, Alex was interpreted terribly and was acted by some irritating talentless devotchka who looked utterly stupid (think along the lines of Adam Ant in his romantic years)
There was no controversy over here, very few people were there, it wasn't up to my standards. I thought it was poorly acted and interpreted. Burgess' message was destroyed by their perverted focus on the more 'exciting' aspects of the book.
It was poorly staged, and even the numerous fight scenes were badly done. If you are going to over do something, at least make sure you do it well. I have seen more convincing fight sequences on the 'chuckle brothers'... I know because I am a big Burgess fan that I'm supposed to love anything to do with a clockwork orange... but the sheer stupidity of the whole thing was such a disapointment. Burgess is turning in his grave.
Darn. I wanted to see Bowling for Columbine, but my cinema only showed it for a few days (probably to make way for yet another hopeless teen inspired drivel fest) Ah well, I'll make sure I buy the video. I owe Micheal Moore at least that much..
Hee hee! We have two weeks! Hahhaha! That'll teach you for having a longer summer holiday.. and getting out of school early... well, earlier than us anyway...

Currently listening to: Tine and Daniel smooching by the couch... Yep, we're back to normal...
Ugh, seemed like you went to a dire reproduction of ACO - they should learn that if you're gonna do something that already got an established image, you should do it carefully and wonderfully. I've been disappointed many times too - when they think that it will be successful only because it's a household name Don't worry, we can make our own production
Well, I've had a nice vacation so far - usually I'm a wreck after a couple of days (I keep awake all night, eat lots of junkfood and so on) but I've been keeping a strict eye on myself so I'm not nearly as unhealthy as I usually am... And most of the vacation has gone to brush up our garden and forest as SPRING now is here Of course Tine and I hand't the stamina to gather dry leaves for very long, so we just acted silly and gave the nearby geography names The forest's name was "Little dragon forest" as we imagines there would live tiny dragons there; And the little, stony top in the middle of it was named "Squirrel Hill" as there lives lots of them around and nobody usually remembers to dedicate things to the little furry killers ... In the end we were running around by the trees like 5 year-olds, singing 'Great balls of fire' (don't ask ) So I think it's been a worthwhile day...
Ugh, I'm getting sick of 'who dunnit' stories You may not know that we Norwegians are so eccentric we dedicate this whole holiday to old-fashioned crime-stories... Over here "Easter" equals "I went outside the cabin to look for Thompson... Then suddenly, under my flickering light, I saw his decapitated head with a note stitched to his forehead..." Stories like that are to be found anywhere in Norway this one week of the year! Okay, so I like reading old detective stories any time of the year myself, but at Easter everybody's fanatic about it! I can see why Norway is the only nation that got this tradition (and besides, it takes the light away from the religious aspect, so why complain?)
Oh, the "who dunnit" serial is just about to start on the telly. Better go or I'll miss the gruesome murder
Toodles!

Currently listening to: "Sharon... the ing dog!" Ahh The Osbournes, I swear, one episode was made up entirely of 's....
*takes off her easter bonnet and rabbit jumpsuit* *sigh* Happy bloody Easter everybody.... Well at least the Sunday's over and done with.
I did my duty and accompanied my Mother to Church. My Dad too busy being an Athiest and working to go, it was sheer hell. Look at it from my perspective:
I was brought up a Ukrainian Catholic, and went to a very strict and religious church. Full of old people and so forth. We normally spend Easter up at my grandparents in Nottingham, but this year we couldn't. We don't have a Ukrainian Catholic church near us so we made do with a Roman Catholic.
It was so stupid, the church was full of kids who just wouldn't shut up and be quiet. The parents were no better, they were having conversations at the back in the actual ceremony!
The final straw was when they pulled out an acoustic guitar and started to sing CofE hippy hymns! I felt like shouting out 'a little reverence, you bastards'...
Although I'm not religious it angered me that people were so rude. My Mum takes all this seriously and it means a lot to her, so it means a lot to me. Besides, church is a place for quiet and reflection. Respectful silence doesn't mean much to these Radlett snobs.
Ah well, Happy Easter.
My holiday has been rather dull to be honest.. I'm just waiting with great anticipation for Wednesday... *thinks of Guy McKnight* Ahh, that's the only thing that gets me up in the mornings. I hope the tickets are the real deal though, boy would that be embarassing, if the tickets turned out to be fake.. Ok, I'm getting a bit too paraniod... phew... my minds producing all these 'what ifs'.. don't panic... Ok, that doesn't work! PANIC!
Ok.. Norway is slightly weirder than I previously realised. Nothing says Happy Easter like a decapitated murder victims head on the back seat of a car...
