Currently listening to: Have I Got News For You, a video which I got for Christmas. It's put together the best bits from the past 12 years. Oh yes! Guess who I just caught a glimpse of as a guest on the show? None other than our hero, Douglas Adams!
"My complete incapability of getting visibly angry around people I know"
Ah, I have the opposite problem. I have to try very hard not to get violent. I go into the toilets, take a deep breath, kick the wall and grudgingly go back to whatevers happening.
Although very rarely do I get visibly mad, in fact, I think I've only ever got really angry at someone ONCE It was an aquaintance of mine who I've never really got on with.
What I said to her was really terrible, I was shouting and swearing.. I actually made her cry in the end. I won't say she didn't deserve it mind you *raises an eyebrow*
So you too have been captivated by the music of the sixties?! Fantastic! And there was me thinking I was the only one.. Keep on rocking! How dorky did that sound.........

Currently listening to: 'Hey Jude' Agh, here goes another month where I can't get the "nah nah nah" bits out of my head...
That video sounds cool - now I only got to tips the Norwegian channel NRK to release a video of the best bits from News on News Aw, that would have lasted for hours! Like last weeks episode, it was so good most newspapers even gave it a writeup as being a cult episode The host got into a really silly argument with a guest about one of the tasks, and as the guest kept on quarreling even though he had quite clearly lost, the host scribbled down "HELP!" on a piece of paper and showed it to the camera with a really shocked look on his face. Even Knut Nærum started to laugh, and he's mister Stone-Face himself! I can't stop sniggering myself just thinking of it...
I'm currently planning my art-project; We are to make a product and I thought I'd make a small book of photographs I've made. All I need is a theme I can stick to as I run around manically snapping pictures, but I haven't thought of any yet They're going to be in black/white, I know, and I've thought about going down to Oslo and do it there. Let's see... "Nature vs The City"? "Our old heroes"? (Since there are many statues placed around there) "The poor?" Nah, I better think sbout it some more...
I better go now and rehearse my trumpet - Drownin' Ducks are going to be in a big culture contest with one of our songs; "Permission Impossible" (I've stood for much of the text)
Toodles!

Yep, it's snowing in Britain! This time it's serious snow, not just a couple of flakes but a whole 10cm! It may not seem much but it's a lot for us! To prove it, transport has gone mental. Traffic reaching 11 miles in length, trains cancelled, buses stopped.. it's madness.
The traffic is particulary bad. How bad you ask? Lets put it this way: Last night I got home from school at 7pm and I'm normally home by 4pm Scary huh?
It wasn't a journey I want to remember. The bus was full of first years screaming and jumping on the seats.. if I didn't have my walkman to block out most of the noise, I would have killed them
Talking about cult episodes In one episode of HIGNFY they chose the Tub of Lard as a late replacement for serial deserter Roy Hattersley because, Angus said: "they possessed the same qualities and were liable to give similar performances."
Ian is used to losing, though this was one of the few occasions he looked genuinely gutted at doing so, as Paul had managed to beat him while sitting alongside a Tub of Lard and completing headlines from foreign newspapers.

Well, moving house is a fact - we're outta here before the next month! Well, the family we're renting this half-a-duplex of suddenly decides to take it back, so we had only a few weeks to find a new place to live... And now we've bought a house a few streets away (so I don't have to change school) and it's big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is..! Well, there are two kitchens, a livingroom you could throw a royal ball in, a REALLY big bedroom for me () and even a room planned to be a private library... Even Roosta'll get his own room Oh, and it got a really huge garden, which isn't a garden at all, more like a nature area (with all these nice private park benches) so we don't even have to groom it (we aren't very skilled with green things ) I can't wait! It's only the "moving stuff" part that worries me. I'm not good to pack things...
Yes, the stories of the London-chaos have reached us. I hear even the underground was stopped... What can I say? Snow amateurs! You could learn a thing or two from us Scandinavians, like how to prepare for snow. "There's no such things as bad weather, only bad clothing" as we say Nah, I'll stop behaving obnoxious. We're having really nasty weather over here too - coldest winter in memory. Last night I was freezing soo badly I slept the whole night curled up into a little ball under two blankets, armed with a hot water-bottle and a kitten... And I was still shivering! Also, not being quite able to breathe under there I had this particular funky dream involving Knut Nærum ( http://www.nrk.no/img/201529.jpeg ) from News on News, which worries me for no end
*Sigh* I better go - I'm babysitting for my two nieces the whole weekend. Maja is so young she's no problem yet, but Martine is really hyper

Not feeling too great today. Seems that everything isn't going too well. The day went okish, but just now everythings gone downhill. *sigh* C'est la vie.. nothing I can do about it It's life, it sucks, deal with it. Well... at least I have a new computer.. thats worth something surely? Ah.. by the way: I HATE MEN That's all..
Wow.. Big house eh? I advise you don't tell me if you have a spare room.. a dangerous move when there are people like me about.. you'll find me turning up on your doorstep with a suitcase and a grin and leaving a month later
Everyone over here is talking about the Micheal Jackson interview that was on last night... very interesting.. it turns out that he has had plastic surgery! *shock horror* God it was terrible.. the most boring documentary I've ever watched.. the best one was the one about narcolepsy So funny..

Currently listening to: Some American talkshow about men shaving their heads Well, it's their heads, crikey!
Hmm, having a bad day, eh? Well, it seems like it contageous I'm soo tired and cranky and cold, but I can't find anything that helps! I mostly want to just go to bed and stay there, but later tonight I have to sit up with Drownin' Ducks to finish the song we're writing for the culture contest this Sunday... And by Friday my mum and Trond go to Paris on some work-related trip, and there's a place I wish I could be too, to say it short. Truls is going to take care of us for the week though, and that will probably turn out fun
So what's wrong with men? Plenty, I know, but what's the particular reason you say it? I've started to despair about my relationship to boys (er, men) as yesterday it was the first time I knowingly, willingly, definately touched Prof. Petter! Well, I realize I've lost my battle for him now, but think of all the months I had a crush on him and for the first time yesterday, I actually gave him a pat on the shoulder to get his attention. That makes me wonder about my relationship (well, if staring obsessively at someone can be named a "relationship" ) with Luka... I've also discovered this really shy, cute tutor for one of the other classes - at least he acts like he's singel
Yeah, I read about the Michael Jackson interview in the newspaper - it hasn't been broadcast over here yet, but the suck-up paper kept saying it was "extraordinary", "fabulous" and so on, so I figured it wasn't *that* great.
Yay, there's a national teachers' strike tomorrow! It's only for half of the day, but at least I get to go home early... Why try to force the society to give them higher pay when the students are overjoyed when they don't have to go to school?
I better go work on my project about Renè Magritte. He's kinda cool, "C'est ne pas une pipe" heheheheee

Today wasn't so bad. I felt pretty violent when I got off the bus.. but it wasn't anything a long bath and good music couldn't cure. It's been an average day all round really.. I just got hit in the face by a year 7's flailing arm as I was getting off the bus. She then proceeded to kick my art folder So I elbowed her in the head.. cheered me up no end.
I just felt amazingly bitter towards the male species yesterday. No real reason.. just bitter. I wasn't very happy with anything and men seemed a good target.. oh, that and valentines day is fast approaching Another year alone! Not again!
Trust me.. the Jackson interview wasn't that good Looks like it's got Jackson into a lot of trouble.. he admitted to sleeping in the same beds as children.. people aren't happy about that I can tell you! Jackson himself isn't that pleased with it either.. he released a statement stating how upset he was with it and how the interviewer decieved him.. Wacko Jacko is in trouble!

Currently listening to: Truls watching the sport on the TV.
Er, that was a, uh, interesting conversation I see. Sounds like when I and Tine starts singing the "Hello" song from The Babbit and the Bromide act. Mostly like "Hello!" "How are you?" "How's the folks?" "What's new?" "I'm great!" "That's good." "Ha ha!" "Knock wood." And so on... We found this song is great for irritating fellow train-passagers when sung over and over...
Well, as Truls is taking care of us for the weekend, he found it easiest if he got me addicted to a computer game, "Neverwinter". And so he did I haven't been online the last few days, at least not for very long. Even in my sleep I dream about slaying zombies and jail-escapees and Waterdhavian Intellect Eaters... I'm getting seriously hooked!
And by a mistake we rented the movie "24 Hour Party People" yesterday. Why is it only me who thinks that was the greatest movie made in 2002? It was hilarious and interesting I say! I kept thinking "Why don't anyone else make movies like that anymore?" But Tine said he missed a couple of exploding cars...
Well, later today we're going to fight over what movie to see in the cinema. The argument has lasted for two whole days now. And I'm fighting with teeth and claws to escape a football match he wants me to see... But we manage
Well, better get back to the game before the movie argument starts over again. There's absolutely nothing I want to see! Not 8 Mile, Die Another Day, Harry Potter 2, cartoons... Why can't they show any good movies?
Toodles!

-John Blake
Currently listening to: something on the tv.. The Simpsons I think.. yup.. the simpsons Well fancy that.. the simpsons... well I'll be..
What a dull weekend this has been.. I went out to the cinema, saw Catch Me If You Can (which was pretty terrible. It's the first time I've ever come REALLY close to falling asleep in a cinema) I then came home.. had my hair cut (another story).. went into the video shop (thats another, highly amusing story) and then did some other stuff.. pretty average..
Going back to the two funny stories I promised you.. firstly the haircut:
Well.. it looks terrible. I look like Leonardo Di Caprio after he let himself go while taking steroids.. Yes. It is that bad
secondly the cardboard cut out:
I went into a video shop, no reason but I was bored, and asked if they had anything they wanted to get rid of. The guy thought for a minute and then popped around the back and brought with him a full size cardboard cut out of Ali G... I hate Ali g so much! But I still took it! My parents wet themselves laughing when I turned up on the doorstep with it..
You thought that was bad enough? It gets worse.. Tommorow I have to take it into school. I don't want it so I'm giving it to a teacher.. the problem is.. I have to drag it around the school for half the day and take it in on the bus
So I have to stand at the bus stop with a 6,0feet tall cut out. The shame of it all! I thought people were just going to beat me up for my haircut.. tommorow should be a fun day Wish me luck.. I'm gonna need it!
Say hi to Truls for me..

Currently listening to: Nothing... It's just one of those moments I can't think of a single song I'm in the mood for
You can't possibly have had a more dull weeked than I. Okay, so some things was above average than what I do usually, but they where astonishingly dull too. First, Truls got a little power-hungry and forced us to listen to punk rock all weekend, all the time saying things like "Ooh! Listen to those lyrics!" as all we could hear was someone banging on drums and guitars and screaming foul words... He then made us go to a soccer game. A soccer game! Would you believe it; Me at a soccer game! It was being broadcast on telly, and I hid each time they put the camera near my aisle... Afterwards we saw "Gangs of New York" which proved to be three hours of carnage, blood, cursing, war, Irish flutes and a final monologue with Leonardo DeCaprio (your lookalike twin, isn't it so? ) saying war was bad. *Sigh*
And yesterday was the big culture competition, at least. Only they always put Drownin' Ducks at the end of the show, so we had to be there at 9 AM for the sound rehearsal, and we finally played in the show at 7 PM. The soundmen forgot all the instructions we had given them, so we sounded astonishingly bad, we hadn't the time to finish our own song so in the last possible minut we decided for another song. Plus we where so full of ourselves for winning last year, we didn't put in all our efforts... Not necessary to say, we wasn't ranked high by the judges. They did, however, say that each member was great at what they were doing, and next year we could try to play a song we actually knew Oh well...
In between 9 and 7 we tried to make time pass while checking out the other bands, and this was where I got instantly very attracted to a member of another group; I tell you, he was every bit like Lestat de Lioncourt I could ever imagine, you would have been drooling over him too, as I did - right down to the long blonde curls and devilish grin - plus he was great at playing guitar and looked very Alex DeLarge in a black bowlerhat (it was a gimmick of his) I soon gave him up, though, when I walked in on him doing some hardcore kissing with a vocalist in one of the wardrobes Back to ol' Luka for me, that Albanian angel...
As for this day, I'm not sure if it was nice or bad - we got into an argument in one of the classes, and a classmate was stupid enough to call Prof. Petter a rather foul word describing the female genitalia That was the first time I've seen him ordering a student to go outside. When he closed the door after him the Professor unknowingly broke off the handle, so some moments passed with amusement and wonder on how on earth we were going open the door! We got it open eventually, but the handle hasn't been fixed yet, so no one is to close the door. After it all had calmed down people were still rather pissed at everything, when suddenly the wondrous Prof. Petter launches out into the song, "Always look on the bright side of life", totally unexpected! So we all start singing and cheering and laughing, and it was just like some freaky musical of some sort... That really was the highlight of the day.
Ali G? That really made me laugh, the thought of you walking around with that cut-out under your arm - made me want to do it myself... Maybe we could start up some sort of fashion thingy? Everywhere you'll see teens walking around with a cardboard figure of the artist they hate the most! Yes, I can see it now...
I better go and get something to eat now,
Toodles!

Currently listening to: "You used to be everything to me... And Now you're tired of fighting... Tired of fighting yourself... Fighting yourself" Ok, I've been playing that over and over, time I moved onto another song, which will be less iritating for you: "Hands are red with your blame... Megaphone screaming my name... Whimpers someone I should've loved... Souls weeping above"
My god! It's getting close to the 14th! I can't believe it! It feels like Valentines day was only 5 minutes ago. No way it's been a year.. I'm always cynical when Valentines day approaches.. for obvious reasons. I haven't quoted myself in a while, I usually stick to quoting others, so here's something I said this morning:
"Valentines day is just a day to tell the ugly that they're ugly"
--Me "At Lunchtime" (1988- )
I'm just flicking around on one of my favourite websites (apart from h2g2) to cheer myself up ( www.deathclock.com ) and it looks like I have 2,533,022,552 seconds to live if I'm feeling optimistic. And if I'm not.. then I have approx 1,354,526,513 seconds to live.. and if I'm feeling average then I have 2,023,953,670 seconds to live (I die on Sunday, April 3, 2067) You can really tell I'm feeling depressed
Heck, it sure sounded like a memorable contest! I'd have gone just to steal that guys bowler hat I have my reasons. Do you know how much it costs to get a decent bowler hat? £34 at Camden, goodness knows how much it would cost at a proper hat shop! So I'm saving up for one.. sad I know
Ali G was a huge success! I got lots of stares and whispers, of course. Unfortunately people kept on coming up to me and talking about Ali G..
"Do you remember that thing where he did that breakdance, and his hat?"
"Um.."
"Well?"
"I don't like Ali G"
"Then why have to got a cardboard cut out of him?"
What really started to wind me up was when people kept on asking the same question again and again! "Why have you got that?" Giving up on my usual reply, "He's the only friend I can get", I put a sign around his neck saying in big bold letters "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ASKING"
Seemed to do the trick. People just steered well clear of me then!
Well I'd better go. I've started a top secret project I can't say any more for now.. top secret and all that.. so be patient.. it will all be clear soon.

Currently listening: "I wanna hold your hand" with four certain Liverpudlian guys... I just put on some early Beatles when I came home to get back into a good mood. This day've been very, very tireing
We had a surprising (well, not surprising, we have it every other Wednesday) test and it appeared to be only about the homework I hadn't had enough time to look over "Draw a heart and put on names", so I drew a circle and divided it in four, putting on "heartchambers" and a big arrow pointing "heart", so you see I hadn't gained much knowledge in the anatomy class... And in the lunch pause I had been tired of people begging me to bring my tarot-deck, so I finally did it today. And of course the usual idiots came up. "You know you're going to hell for this, right? ... Can you tell my fortune now?"
But in the art class things finally seemed to straighten up. We should draw copies of paintings made of our chosen artist, and I made some surprisingly good reproduction of Magritte's work. People were expressing their great jealousy over my sketching abilities That's sadly most of what I'm good at; Copying other's work
Ugh, everywhere I see signs of the upcoming Valentine's day (or "Alle hjerters dag" (="All hearts' day) as we call it) That's all people talk about! "What are you going to buy your boyfriend?" "Who are you going to send cards to?" "Do you think this seven feet plastic hearts expresses 'I love you'?" And in all the shops you only see cute teddybears holding hearts and books on "2000 ways to say 'I luv U'" Valentine's day is quickly becoming the years most un-romantic day in my life. And afterwards everybody bring their billions of loveletters to school to show eachother... I'm wondering about making one to myself signed something like "With love and admiration, Satan"
Well, I better get ready for tapdancing class now... And you better tell me what that secret project is about or I'll

Yes, Valenties day My favourite day of the year! So you too are starting to feel the commercialisation of the day? Maybe I'll spend Friday evening at a coffee house by myself, reading 'The Nations Favourite Love Poems'.. much better than what everyone else has planned by the sound of it Several of my friends are going to McDonalds with their loved ones and others are going clubbing with their loved ones. Yup, my evening should be splendid in contrast!
My darling English teacher has inspired me to spend this years Valentines day (or Alle hjerters dag if you will ) in quiet reflection. We spent a few lessons working on some poems, and our teacher noted, with a far off look in his eye, that poetry is best read on the banks of a river under a tree with a glass of wine and a loved one Well.. I can do the the first two I s'pose.. unless that golden adonis at the local WHSmiths comes to his senses.. yeah, better stick to the first two
*sigh* All that romantic talk has made me feel very calm and pensive. Exscuse me while I go listen to Marvin Gaye..

I'm just in one of those moods which isn't a mood or state of mind at all, I just observe what's around me and my brain says it's going to check back later Not happy, not sad, not annoyed, just... completely blank.
Ugh, couldn't Valentines have been somewhere in the weekend, and not on a Friday where I'll see all the girls either kissing guys, talking about guys, stalking guys, teasing guys or doing things to guys I'd like not to get into... Let it be ring all over the world: I DON'T NEED A BOYFRIEND TO BE A WORTHY HUMAN BEING!!! There. I said it. People ask me "Who are you going to spend Valtentines with?" and I answer "No one. My family, I guess." And then they send me that sickening, pitying look like I'm some homeless, dirty puppy. I think I'll crawl into a dark corner and be cynical, if you don't mind
Why is it the teachers always decide that all big projects are to be delivered on the exactly same day, so you're left running around like a headless chicken? I have to get the Art project, Norwegian project and the Community project finished before next Friday..! I'm nearly finished with the Art one (only have to finish my copies of Magrittes paintings) and I nearly haven't started on the other two. Yes. Well. So. That was Valentines day. Not as bad as I anticipated but still pretty bad. Girls sauntering around looking lovestruck, clutching single red roses and valentines cards. While I.. sat alone trying to avoid eye contact with people. I even took 'The Bell Jar' to school with me.. that sounds to me like the cry of a lonely and miserable little sod I need a life.
Well. I have one now! I'm going out tonight. I intend to stay out until late at the cinema. Going to see 'About Schmidt' if thats how you spell it. So, valentines wasn't a complete disaster after all.. I get to see a film. Thats something!
I have some exciting news.. well, exciting for me anyway. I am saving up for something.. yup, a guitar. Yes! I am going to learn to play the guitar.. Its either I start now or I never start. No time like the present is what I always say (except when doing homework.. that should be put off for as long as possible )
I'd better go and get ready for my 'hot date'.. We are going to get some strange looks tonight I can tell you! Two girls having a romantic evening, on this day, which be valentines day We're going for a meal afterwards.. hmm, Lucy isn't exactly my ideal partner I have to say

Well, finally we're through with that greatly commercialised day of "I luv U"s and pink teddybears People were getting truckloads of perfumed cards while I got... a post-it actually. But then again, everybody in the building got one of those heart-shaped pink stickers saying "Happy Valentines! From (whoever had the time on their hands to write a billion of post-its)" I wonder if everybody would be as crazy about that -shape if they knew what it appearantly has derived its shape from
Oh, and I got a mistery e-mail from some anonymous person saying I was a special, unique human being, but I suspect someone's just yanking my chain
Ooh, 'About Schmidt' eh? Yeah, I've heard that one's good - the only problem is appearantly overcome that Nicholson isn't a psychopath You can tell me how it was when you return
Well, this will be my last night in this particular house... The disconcerting thing is that I haven't packed a dime - and we're moving into the new house tomorrow Well, at least we got this house for a couple of months, so I only need to pack the essentials now. I'll probably be cut from internet a couple of days ahead though, but we both have to learn to survive this We gotta be strong, you understand! "We shall overcome... We shall overcome..."

"Fortunately yes. Or we'd have to pay him all over again.."
Yes well.. Valentines day.. another year, another disapointment.. I did have a good evening mind you. The film was FANTASTIC! I haven't seen such a good film in a very long time This has to be the best film Jack Nicholson has been in, in absolutely ages! His performance was spectacular and it had me either on the verge of tears or the verge of wetting myself laughing the whole way through! You have to see it.. I was very impressed and it takes a lot to impress me!
Well my half term is fully booked for once! Theres only one day I'm not going to be out, so I won't be around on h2g2 much this week. Gawd! I'm going to be busy Makes a change I have to say.. So, heres the plan:
Tues- Off to the museums and galleries around London with my friend Lucy.
Wed- Off to get my ears peirced again. Spending the day shopping with Eddi, Sarah and Lucy
Thurs+Friday- Intending to spend the next two days with Eddi. Sleeping over at my house and then maybe spending some time in London
Sat- off to Camden with Lucy
Sun- And then she rests.. and does homework
Good god! How am I going to last these next few days without you? How on earth will I survive?! *breaks down* I'm going to miss you.. how will I cope? I'll have to survive for the sake of the children.. urh.. children? Ok, scrap that.. Well, I'll see you soon hopefully. Enjoy getting settled.
Ta,
-Nate

Currently listening to: Tapping, tapping and tapping of keyboards.
Okay, I'm being a big rebel right now as I am supposed to be working on my project and I've got a teacher routinely checking up on what I'm doing... Well, it seems like I won't get the internet plugged in before next Monday, so I just popped in on one of the school computers to tell you and check up on "the rest of my world"...
Well, talk to you later - before they find out I'm using school property for non-school stuff
Toodles until Monday

Currently listening to: Myself humming on "R-I-N-G-O, and Ringo was his name-o!" Don't ask, I'm not even sure myself...
Well, I'm back at last, and thank heavens! *Gets down on knees and starts kissing the computer* So it took a little longer than I had been told, but now I'm back! Sooo... Everybody seems to have survived nice and easy without me... h2g2 is still here Dang it, couldn't something happen just because I'm not there? What, Like the explotion of a minor island? A plague breakout? Paul MacCartney refusing to tour if I'm not to be found online? Life isn't fair, I guess...
Well, I've used the previous week trying to adjust to this new life... And you know, this house hasn't been used since something like the mid-eighties, so I thought I'd try to adjust it to the nineties and then to this new century, but I gave up and went back to the sixties. I'm sure it won't mind I also love to get to decorate my own room - the first thing I put up in doorway to my very own porch, was my dream-catcher. It's very hard to get a real kind of style going in there, so right now it's kind of a culture crash: On the wall there is a picture of Bruce Willies, Shakespeare, Michael Ball (but of course), various posters from plays and operas, a handprint from when I was ten, Humphrey Bogart, Chinese writings and a really big poster of the Abbey Road-picture which I got on a sale last week... Oh, and tomorrow I'm hoping to shop at the Norwegian Movie Institute - they always have some really cool movie posters
Well, I better get off so Trond can install the printer and so on
Toodles! It's GREAT to be back!
