Indeed. The GreyDesk fan club is part of one of the few connections to the homeland I have left...
NOt that GD seems to be around much compared to his fans mind...

* knocks on the door *
Err - hello? Anyone home? Does Mr Desk still live here? Is it still open house for his friends?
So how is everyone?

Lighthousegirl??? Hey there, long time no see.
Things going well?
Surely GreyDesk will have to acknowledge his fans now.
How to tempt him? Maybe some swearing will attract his attention...

Mr Desk, sad to say, is slipping into that same category of Researcher that LHG et al now inhabit. The type of Researcher who posts so infrequently that everyone jumps for joy when they return after a prolonged absence

I am sorry I have been so c**p at posting lately
Does that mean you missed me?
I cant promise to be here more often - life contimues to be, well - lets just say it gives me very little time to do what I want. I will however try to be here more.
So do we know what is keeping GD away?

Did we miss you...
Are bears catholic? Does the pope crap in the woods?
Even if you can't be here often we'll take what we can and be glad that you haven't forgotten us

That's sweet, Light.
But then, you work for a candy company.
If you *did* ever forget us, I'm saure it would be for some reason that can't be helped, like Alzheimer's, or a terrible case of amnesia....

I may well not be working for the candy compnay for all that much longer ... they have reorganised and currently I dont have a role
Still it may well mean I can work closer to home and maybe even do a job I really enjoy

I have been close a couple of times and even closer to getting to the NY area on 3 occasions (1 time it was cancelled with just a couple of weeks to go and there went Xmas shopping in the US!)
With the sale of the drinks part of the business Texas is less likely than before Lease of all on candy company time. As I said life just does not work sometimes

There has to be.
You deserve the best, Light.
You're hardworking, enthusiastic, and caring.
Anybody that didn't hire you would have to be blind.
