Paul I took no offence, and won't smack you around unless you indulge in excessive punning, you know that!

Firearms are one thing but I absolutely insist all puns be checked at the door... would hate for the little beasts to escape, ya know...
Wargamer do the flight schools there not offer Uni courses? I know here the good flight schools offer the Uni courses along with the flight training from private pilot all the way to ATP and all that jazz...

I hope not, I thought there was a queue for that pleasure ...
Talking about American airline security (well, you were a while back), I was asked to open up my bags when they spotted something iffy on the x-ray. Turned out to be a small xmas tree santa decoration. And that was before Sept 11th - God knows how bad it is now...

*wanders back out to the party after a nice nights rest*
Marjin! Welcome back... I was beginning to think you disappeared...
'ning everyone!
Poli I flew not long after Sept 11th and boy was it a mess!! (had to visit mom for a week, she was very nervous about me living here) Leaving NYC wasn't such a problem but returning was a mess. First the line for security at the airport (and the issue with the immersion blender and the eyelash curler) then the National Guard to get back into Manhattan when I returned..
*s all around then pads barefoot to the kitchen to run a caffeine IV*

M'ning Batty,
don't worry, even if you don't see me, I might be lurking just behind some post.
Years ago I had my own troubles with overzealous security.
When my wife and I flew back from London, the security made much fuss about the large super soaker we had bought for our son. It was not allowed in the cabin, you can hijack a plane with a water-gun;
It was not allowed with the normal luggage, so in the end it was wrapped up and travelled in the cockpit.
When we landed, the first thing on the belt was our dangerous package, 15 minutes later the rest of the luggage arrived.

Batty, Shea, I *know* about the pun issue.
But it's like the Bernstein/Comden/Green song:
I try hard to stay controlled,
But I get carried away.
Puns are sneaky little fellows, and they sneak up on me
before I realize it. They are masters of disguise, and can
slip through the door before Batty's sensors pick them up.
Plus, I don't have all my marbles sometimes.

That is funny.. Maybe they were afraid you'd ruin the flight attendants makeup if you hosed them with it..

Thanks Batty,
a good espresso is just what you need before going home, while you see the cars on the motorway slowing down in the evening rush.
I am glad I use a bike

I try not to have too much caffeine before boarding the mass transit here.. I'd probably end up taking a hostage..

I have a nice enjoyable 15 minute walk to work.
I very rarely take hostages.

'ning once again everyone
I don't think anyone would notice if you did take a hostage on the mass transit around here and if you did as long as you didn't get in the way of the door then they wouldn't care
If I go to a NYC Ballet company production or what ever that sort of thing might be called do you think they have a certain dress code or do you think I could just go in my usual clothes
