I don't even remember what my last post
was in reference to.
If you want to keep the party going here,
Batty, you'll have to drop in more often.

I'm sure Batty would thank you for
the crates of if she were here,
Pierce .
I don't know what I would do if I were
here.

Am I the only one here that doesn't
know what Sade is?
Unless you're thinking of Barbra Streisand's
song "I'm Sadie, Sadie, married lady" from
"Funny Girl."

You've never listened to Sade, Paulie? You know... "Smooth Operator", "Paradise", "Sweetest Taboo", etc...

Batty, I hear lots of things on the
sound system at my local supermarket.
There's no way to know who is singing,
or even (quite often) what the words are.
I listen to a classical radio station
when I'm at home. I don't collect many
pop recordings. Movies and videos sometimes
have rock soundtracks, so I've "heard" some
songs by Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Meat
Loaf, and others.
Sade I had never heard of.
So shoot me.

Tis more jazz than anything... can't say I'd call Sade 'pop' any more than I'd call Britney talented...

I read somewhere that the best-selling jazz
recordings are overwhelmingly by deceased musicians.
Does Sade belong to the 1% that are still drawing
breath?

write "sade" in your google, paul
among other things you will learn this: "helen folasade adu is a woman who has never had anything to hide. born in ibadan, nigeria and raised in colchester, essex, where she moved at 4 after her english mother separated from her nigerian father, she's spent her life trying to do what feels right, honest and true"
she is better known as sade adu - an even better as just sade
and it's pronounced something like shar-day
she has a beautiful voice and knows how to use it
the rest of her is pretty amazing too
