Haiku challenge!
Micheal Jay Mole Posted Feb 28, 2002
Here is an attempt Ms. Buttercup (although it was the mention of red hair that drew my attention, I used to be as red haired as red could be and, as a former hippie, my manly mane almost reached my waist) OK, here goes: "In spring melting snow/leaves no trace. Would that you had/melted thus towards me." I confess it is not original. I am a student/teacher of asian history. I read this poem almost 20 years ago and memorized instantly. I love it though sometimes women misunderstand it. The snow, leaving no trace, causes grass, like love, to grow. I'm glad to see you are inspired by Nick O'Teen. So am I. I am quite full of Nick O'Nazi's. Start a now conversation and tell me how long you have been with h2g2. My home page stinks (Micheal Mole). I have never mastered Guide html. I am intrigued by your research and home page. You husband has no reason to fear my admiration: I'm 2,000 miles away and too broke to buy a bus token. Teachers are paid so poorly. Well, let us wait and see who will attempt your challenge! MM, but my friends call me Terry.

Apparently MM replied to the very first posting in this thread. And so his posting seems a bit odd... .
But he's new, so: Hi MM! Welcome to h2g2!! Don't worry! You'll find your way round in no time!!
BTW: I'd love to continue the challenge but I think I missed something - what's the "questions only" and the "3N" thread???

Aurora, you will find that I have no idea how to thread or spool. I just jump in without regard to contect which, yes, causes a lot of confusion. Ask Amy the Ant about this. I have been with h2g2 THREE years and am still quite the novice. I just do not have a mind that works well with computers; but it does work well with poetry. So, that is how you found a haiku stuck in the middle of another conversation/posting. Just, please, have patience with me. I'm not a "newbie" any more, I'm a "dumb-bie"! . "Questions only" and "3N" thread? I have not a clue! We will have to work on this together unless Amy comes to my rescue yet again (Lord in heaven Amy must think I am some stupid Yank living in the middle of a cornfield--God love her!) Thanks for being so polite Aurora! I have had some very rude responses to my ignorance. See 'ya around, MM (Terry)

Indeed! I did reply to the very first first posting! I think I am getting this "thread" thing. Knowledge in pleasure! MM (Terry)
