What a terrible tragedy GB
I hope her labour is over swiftly and that you can all cling together to get through this terrible time.

It is such heart-wrenching news GB. I've been there (though many years ago now) - When she comes home, make sure people TALK to her! I suddenly felt an outcast 'cos people who had always stopped to chat, didn't know what to say and I found them crossing the road rather than have to talk to me - that was one of the worst things, so don't let it happen to your Jenny

How horrible, Annie, I'm so sorry. My sister went through that with her last child, so I know how it is.

I feel overcome - I can only imagine how you feel - and I can hardly imagine how the mother feels. This is so sad.

I really can't get over this one GB! I feel so sad and useless - wishing to ease the load and knowing you can do nothing to help - love you to bits - take care

Gb, like Scorp, I have been there too.
I would reiterate what she says. People are often so afraid to upset the newly bereaved mother that they avoid the matter altogether, the polite "How are you?" being so loaded as to be painful. Then after short while comes the other equally loaded "How are you?" meaning are you expecting again!
You don't tell us any of the circumstances, but I do hope there is reason to hope for a better outcome next time. I had two healthy boys afterwards, so perhaps that will give some hope.
Your son's girlfriend will be devastated, but let no-one forget your son who will likely be knocked for six, but all the attention tends to focus on the mother.
Take care of yourself Gb. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
