76.833% of unit 1,000
Yes, Seti is going to change in as much as we aren't going to be crunching Arecibo data anymore. But they will give us identical things to do with data from the Southern skies instead.
I mean, they'd be mad to disband the capabilities and goodwill built up in a project of this size!

SETI is nearly fishished with data they got, because more people downloaded the SETI screensaver they are earlier thru the units. look at the date by "data info" mine is february 2003.
they planning other simular projects. some where on SETI home page is link to the future of SETI atleast it there for while.

I passed 2000 the other day (up to 2020 last night). I just hope I can squeeze another 480 units so I can get teh next certificate.

Yes, I doubt very much they'd get over 2 million volunteers to do anything else
Hmph
I won't make the next certificate, unless they carry on with our total CPU's into the next project.
The Southern skies, eh?
Yes, my latest CPU is dated Mon Feb 17th 2003, pheloxi

Just about to complete unit 42, I've left my computer running continuously for nearly 10 days, and I've no intention of switching it off yet

Mine has been running for six months with no more than 10 hours of down time.

Mine has been off, or running at a low speed for a few days whilst I did a load of cleaning out of IE cache and other bits and bobs. I'm up and running again

Did it get withdrawal symptoms from non-crunching?
I would be, if seti@home *does* stop running.
I didn't realize the seti homepage was a lovely blue colour, I've only ever seen it as black.
Now I have blue GOO, for the first time in almost 3 years...

According to my stats page I'm crunching nearly 5 units a day. That can't be right surely? It sounds too much considering I only started a fortnight ago, especially if you take into account I'm running other programs on this computer too.

GreyDesk Posted Apr 6, 2003
What are the details of your processor? If its new and fast, then 5 units per day is easily achievable.

It's a P4 2.66GHz, 256MB ram, running Windows XP Pro. The only noteable thing about it was that I bought it from Aldi back in November
Quite annoyed that there's been a power cut this morning, my computer was offline from 10am
