Sad to hear it. You'll always be welcome back with us in whatever enterprise we're undertaking. *bows respectfully*, and you - unlike others who have userped the title - are quite welcome to call yourself a retired mercenary. Good luck in finding another isp!

Yeah, it does, but I can't do anything about it
[EVA] Recieving scripted instructions from unknown source. Authenticating... done. Executing...
Reminder: this page will be deleted in one week.
Unsubscribing user 'Robert Wall' from ALL RP conversations...... done.
Issuing delayed scuttle orders to EVA unit onboard UBS Tripwire... done.
Securely deleting all references to Axe Storm in database... done.
Detching all Tripwire components from bridge module and scuttling... done.
Program ends.
[EVA] Scheduled event noted. Program Axe7(TW4) running.
*explosives detach the Bridge from the rest of the Tripwire by about 10 AU*
*said remainder of the Tripwire irrepariably self-destructs*
*the h2g2 Mercenaries property from the Conference Room appears in the corner, along with all of Axe's merc stuff*

Thanks Njan. It means a lot to me. I'll post if I can get back on, but I'm not too hopeful.

*the ever-watchful GSV carefully works out, from the explosive pattern, a reasonably precise plan of how the tripwire was put together, and archives it deep inside the mind's core, just in case Axe ever changes his mind, and reforms several hundred metres of one deck level into a living quarter for Axe, including swimming pool and views of one of the GSV's temperate forests*
*Axe's GSV-issue terminal gently pulses green as it receives the co-ordinates of said space, and access quarters therefore*
*bows yet again*... you're quite welcome. It was an honour to roleplay with someone who comported himself in such a manner as was the case with you, and I'd be honoured if I were allowed to do it again.

*a small percentbar appears below said co-ordinates. Below that, the words 'Syncing with remote computer...' appear*
The Bridge
Robert Posted Jul 8, 2002
*in typical far-future computer style, the percent bar slides off the screen upon completion and the text blurs out*
*new text appears on the screen:*
!The system will be rebooted immediately.
Please hold...
*screen blanks*

*a small hologram appears, suspended in space*
(Robert) Have they gone yet?
*another hologram appears, this one is of Axe*
(Axe) I think so. I'll go check if they're watching us. The Gaians were very insistant - no observers.

(Axe) Njan and Krans have notifications set up on this sector... that should be a problem.
(Robert) Couldn't we go back in the chronospace and stop you from meeting them?
(Axe) No, it's too risky. Remember the last time that I did that - you've been my Offline supervisor for the last few years, I believe?
(Robert) Yes, I have. You're talking about the TW3 incident?
(Axe) Yup. My continuum's so messed up now that we can't afford it - things were always going to be difficult after TW3. Then again, the alternative was much worse...
(Robert) Don't talk about it. So, what shall we do?
(Axe) I'll go back to Gaia and see what I can think of. You'd better go back to RL - if the Mercs catch you here, there'll be trouble.
(Robert) OK. Which timeframe do you want to meet in?
(Axe) Triumph 200802'd probably be fine.
(Robert) . Disconnecting now...
*Robert disappears*
(Axe) *sigh*
*Axe disappears*
