[Lampwick] [right next to him] No, I used my "Go Unnoticed" skill to avoid being attacked.

~A roof support gives way with a screaming crash of twisting metal and contrete. Water starts flooding in~

[Eric]Whats happening?~runs for exit~

[Ma Chao] Damn!
*Leaps backward as debris comes crashing down. Realises he's left Ribald, Eric and Lampwick behind, and rushes back to help.*
[Ma Chao] I can get one out, but I won't have time for two! Who's up?

[Eric]I can carry my own weight.
~Eric runs forward, but is hit on the arm by falling debris~
[Eric]Ow!, a minor wound. I think you might have to help Lampwick

[Ma Chao] Right!
*Tries to help Lampwick, but there's too much debris in the way.*
[Ma Chao] Can you get out!?
*Remembers Henchmen always get out somehow.*
[Ma Chao] Of couse you will. Sorry, my bad...
*Turns and leaps, bouncing and rebounding off falling chunks of pipe and masonry until he disappears into daylight...*

~bounds over a large pipe and into the sunlight. It is a dencely packed forest of pine trees and brambles with small glade where the hole to the sewers is. There are 2 paths leading away from here. In one direction the top of the Blade mountins is visable over the trees and in the other direction water can be heard~

[Eric]My arm!
~looks under armour~

[Eric]Bruied, not bleeding thankfully

[Ma Chao] We've gone further than I would have liked. We need to head for the Blade Mountains, then head east when we reach the Ever-Frost forest. Trouble is, the Black Legion came down that way, so it may be guarded...
*Ma Chao sits down on a fallen log. Eric pulls out a map. and the warband gather around to look at it.*
[Ma Chao] Hmm... Correlia's on the coast. Maybe we can use a boat! You said you heard water, Eric. There must be a river nearby or something.

[Eric]Water?, yes, its that way

~A short walk through the trees leads to a fast and shallow river with an aparently abandoned mill next to it. The waterweel is not turning~

[Eric]That looks ominus

[Lurker]

::There's a rustling on the near edge of the tree line::

[Ma Chao] Did you hear something?

[Lurker]

::Hunkered in the foliage is what appears to be a humanoid figure, though the stance doesn't quite fit that of a Man::

[Ma Chao] Hey! Hey you! Can you help us? We need a boat or something, do you have one we can use?

[Lurker]

::The figure steps forward, arms raised and revealing open paws. The 'person' seems to be a massive cat-like creature covered in black fur except for the oddly silver tint of its mane and a diamond-shaped patch on its chest. It's wearing a small backpack, buckskin type boots reaching to mid-calf, and has several odd weapons slung on its hip, attached by leather bands. Aside from a plain brown leather pair of breeches, it is otherwise unclothed.::

Ai am afraid Ai dew not have such a thing. May Ai help yeou in some other waiy?

::Proceeds to step forward::

My naeme iss Furr Purrfikt. Ai come from a different realm than your plane of exisstence--an Essper by grace of the Meowaker--and what yeou might call a hominid of the species Cataceous Purrjorative. Ai am a warriowr by trade and...

::Looks at the bedraggled condition of the party, and raises his nose as if sampling the air::

:: Crouches before the members of the party on all fours, tail twitching, and tilts his head to one side ::

There iss sstill a great danger behind yeou--the Black Legiown. Ai feel them. They arre not yeour only enemy; there arre many dangers on the path ahead.

:: He raises his right paw and unsheathes his glinting claws, giving each of you a braod feral grin ::

Ai will jeouwrney with yeou... And add my bite and my strike to yeours...

:: He rumbles low in his throat and rises to his full height ::

[Eric]Do you know anything of the legions?. Where they come from? What is their ultimate purpose? and how to stop them?
