No time like the pressent...

[The tent is completely empty, except for a collapsed pile of swag, out of which Lampwick's legs are sticking ... near the top.]

[Ma Chao] This is why I don't have a henchman...
[Brunswick] What about me?
[Ma Chao] Well firstly you're a Golem, and second I decided not to use you!
[Brunswick] Oh yeah...
*Vanishes from existence with a "pop", while Ma Chao helps Lampwick.*

:: Grabs Lampwick's other leg and grins mischeivously at Ma Chao. ::
Make a wish!
:: They heave Lampwick out of the debris, dust him off, and notice he's still carrying a TON of Stuff, almost as if the swag had become assimilated as part of his body. ::
By the One God, thiss Man-Thing should be heavierr than he feelss, with all that attached!
:: Scratches behind his ear in puzzlement. ::

[Ma Chao] Hey! I just thought of something!
*Grabs Ribald by the throat so he can't make a sarcastic comment.*
[Ma Chao] If the Orcs were working for the Black Legion, then what if they told them we were here?
*The warband consider it for a moment, then dive for cover as a dosen armoured soldiers enter the camp.
They are dressed in black armour. Each warrior is at least 7ft tall. Three are carrying Halberds, two have Flails, and the last has a shield and a red, flaming sword. A small Daemon sits upon his shoulder, crackling with magical energy.*
[Ma Chao] What do we do? We can't fight them! They'd hammer us!
btw; I let go of Ribald when we dived for cover.

[Ma Chao] Why am I doing this...
*Ma Chao leaps into the air, landing in the middle of the Knights.*
[Ma Chao] Aero!
*A shockwave of wind blasts out in every direction, knocking over the Knights. Ma Chao leaps again before they can recover, moving to a safe distance.*
[Ma Chao] Hey uglies! Care to fight with a superior warrior?

:: Rises to his full stature, his left arm aloft, his right paw outstretched, aiming at the jumble of warriors Ma Chao had bowled over. ::
Darrkness from the bottom of the deepesst well,
Coldness from rregions blanketed by white,
Blasst of wind to hinderr their ssight,
Aice forrms now on eour enemiess fell!
:: The sky grows dim and lowers, the trees sway and howl in a sudden gale and fling leaves and twigs into a chaotic swirl around the Legion, there's a momentary white flash in their midst and splintering sound, and the Orcs are encased in thick sheets of ice, immobilized in the same positions they'd fallen. ::
Perrhaps we sshould now begin eour travelss in earrnest, beforre these cretinss theaw eout...

[Ma Chao] Not yet... Haste!
*Ma Chao leaps with blinding speed. He disappears from view, only to re-appear a moment later, moving like a meteor... WHAM!! He slams into the ice, annihilating the frozen warriors in a shower of icy chunks. Ma Chao smiles.*
[Ma Chao] /now/ we go!

[Lampwick] [following after Ribald, who is following] Well, duh, they were supposedly working for the Black Legion.
[Ribald] Hey, Lampwick, you still got that Magicite from the last adventure?
[Lampwick] [produces a grey-green crystal from the pile of swag on his back] Uh, yeah, here it is.
[He hands it to Ribald, who takes it and pockets it.]
[Ribald] Never know when I may want to summon Leviathan ...
[Lampwick] What, thinking ahead this time?
