*The journey to Corellia begins anew. The warband continues toward the mountains, until the forests end. They then turn, and take a route parallel to the Blade Mountains.*
[Ma Chao] Correlia is somewhere ahead! Shouldn't be too long now...

[Eric]Look at this featureless plain. Its a good thing that the patten of small, elongate hills hides us from view or we'd be visable for miles. I sugest nobody walks along the crests of the drumlins

[Ma Chao] Good plan. I think we should...
*Ma Chao stopped. Three Bombs; large, fire-based creatures that can explode at will, are on the road ahead. One turns to the party, and grins evily.*
[Bomb 1] Zeeky Boogy Doog!
*BLAMM!! The Bomb explodes, blasting Ma Chao off his feet. The other two close in, ready to strike...*

Back in maiy day, there werre ssoldierrs who would ssacrrifice their livess by thrrowing themselvess onto a bomb. What Heroes they werre!!!
:: Grabs Lampwick by the collar and, using immaculate leverage, hurls him squarely into the approaching Bombs. The blast is deflected back along the road--away from the party--due to the immense clutter of paraphenalia on Lampwick's shoulders. ::
Little trrick Ai learned back in 'Nam...
[/just a bit OoC]:: Helps Lampwick to his feet. ::
Not too ssinged, arre yeou, Lampwick? Urrr... Let me sstop thiss sspot from ssmouldering, else yeou'll ssmell like burrnt hairr all week.
:: Pats Lampwick down, does a secondary survey and is satisfied he won't spontaneously reignite. ::
Would ssomeone please tell me wherre such crreatures come from? Or werre they fashioned thrrough ssome form of magic?
:: Picks up a small chunk of the flak produced by the explosions. ::
"Property of Bowser"??? Does thiss make ssense to any of yeou?

[Ma Chao] I fought Bombs one, up with the Jinaid at Dragon-Fire Pass. They normally stop such creatures from breaking loose into the lands of Galyana...
*Ma Chao stops. No-one needs to hear the rest. Either the Bombs were lucky, or Jinaid has been destroyed.*

Ai detect nothing but the nativve wildliffe for quite ssome distance ahead. Therre iss anotherr way to tell...
:: Furr Purrfikt traces several arcane shapes in the air while muttering in an unknown language punctuated by growls and snuffles. Slowly, a small violet globe begins to form above the pads of his outstretched left paw. It glimmers with a wispy internal light and miniature images flit about in its center. Furr allows a low rumble to escape his throat, then the glowing violet ball dissipates and fades out of existence. ::
We sshould have a fairrly easy trrek across thiss area. Any otherr things we need to conssider before we prroceed?
:: He stands in a half-crouch, his form almost perceptibly wound taut as a coiled spring, waiting to take action. ::

[Ma Chao] Our instructions are to head to Corellia. However, if Jinaid has fallen, then Corellia may be under threat too... We should move on double time!

*The fires burn bright. Ma Chao approaches, then calls out in joy.*
[Ma Chao] Camp fires! There's an army camped in Correlia! They're on our side! Come on!
*The warband head for the city, but Furr stops them. She points at the towers of Correlia. Their flag is a large rectangle. the top half is blue, the bottom yellow. A red star is in the centre of it.
Below the Correlian banner is that of the Black Legion.*
[Ma Chao] What!? Those b******s! They betrayed us! They said they would help!

*Ma Chao sneaks towards the camp. He ducks behind a tent as two guards march past.*
[Ma Chao] I'm never going to get far like this...
*He ducked into one of the tents, taking a stretch of rope from a supply crate, and decided to find a change of clothes...
There is a muffled choking noise, and a few minutes later, a Black Legion soldier came out of the tent and marched for the castle...*

:: As Ribald heads for the outskirts of the camp he hears a low purr and meowing sound. A lone Black Legionaire takes notice and calls into the dim gloom, "Kitty? Here, kitty-kitty-kitty..." A shadowy figure on all fours slinks up closer to the edge of the firelight. The soldier takes a step further, then seems to lunge into the gathered darkness between the tents. "Ohmygo--!" barely escapes the lips of the unwitting prey, a swift rustling sound, then a pronounced silence. The 'soldier' starts walking out of the camp many minutes later, following the trail to Correllia, though he walks uncomfortably and keeps readjusting his uniform as if it doesn't fit quite right. A score of paces along the trek, an odd snake-like appendage springs out behind the 'soldier' and swishes back and forth; he turns quickly, stuffs it down into the back of his trousers, cinches his belt a bit tighter, then proceeds up the path at a brisker pace. ::
