We were slicing Orcs to bits.

Ah. Of course. Let's continue...

*Decapitates three more Orcs in one swing.*
[N'kai] Bring Me Your Best!!!

[lizzy] is that a wise thing to say?

*hacks and slashes*

*Turns around and decapitates an Orc Captain with a backhand swing.*
[N'kai] It's my battlecry. Either they don't listen or the quality of oppenents has seriously degraded over the past 4,000 years or so...
*Kills three more Orcs with ease.*

*There is an evil red gleam in the darkness behind Lampwick. A breath of warm air wafts doen the passage and wraps itself round the fighters. There is a smell of oil.*

SFX: of scales against stone.

[Lampwick] Why do I suddenly have a feeling I'm about to wish we had a cleric or white mage?

*A scimitar, thrown at head height, slices the head off of an Orc behind Lampwick.*
[N'kai] Why'd you need one? I've never met anything yet that could kill me...
*Moves upto the corner and draws his sword...*

[lizzy] we can always improvise

[N'kai] You mean act as improvised apothecaries? I /hurt/ people, not help them!

[lizzy] what about a compromise?

[Ribald] Or obliterize?

*There is an annoyed hiss behind Lampwick*

[Deuce] (muttering) That orc was our dinner...

*Deuce bounds out of the shadows and pounces on Lampwick. *

[Deuce] Too stringy.

*Deuce darts forward, somehow avoiding the hacking blades, and snaps a fat orc out of the melee. She crunches down on one arm, then flames*

[Deuce] Urgh. Worse than carrion. *to the world in general* No-one happens to have any lamp oil or coal on them, do they?

*Looks at Deuce with interest.*
[N'kai] Hmm... an interesting specimen of Draco Nobilis...
