Ok, Lizzy can't talk about contemporary stuff, and you get to talk about sci-fi (albeit so soft it's bordering on spongy)?


[Azrael] Prisoner?! You think these people take prisoners?!

[Azrael] OR we could actually do some scouting before we start suggesting half-baked plans! I suggest we circle the fortress and look for windows big enough for us to pass through. I've got a grapple hook and a strong arm. If we..

* He is interrupted by a noise, and as he turns around, a number of orange clad monks appear. *

[Monk] We thought you might need some help. I'm Cheng En. This is Li Po, Zhang Yang, Huang Di, Wu Lin and Hong Shui. We are at your service.

* Cheng carries a sword, Li and Zhang are armed with longbows, Huang has a spear, Wu sports a staff and Hong is unarmed. They all bow respectfully. *

[Ribald] Cool!

(lizzy) (to the monks) how do you propose we get in?

[Ribald] One at a time and very slowly!

[Lampwick] Yeah. That's how we're gonna get killed.

[Azrael] Lampwick, if you're going to insist on doing your best to lower morale, I suggest you leave. That way. *points towards fortress* As for the rest of you... Well, now that we're a minor army, climbing through a window seems like a stupid plan. We'd probably get discovered when half of us have made it inside the fortress, leaving both halves fighting to a grim death. One group trapped within the fortress, slaughtered mercilessly while the outside group is scattered by guards, hunted down one after another and hacked to pieces until there's not enough left of us to feed the carrion crows...

* The clouds part rather suddenly. A clear evening sky presents itself. On one horizon, a blood red sun. On the other, a full moon. *



[Azrael] Crap. I get a feeling the ritual's about to begin.

[Ribald] Then, uh, let's do something!

Ribald has only known Lampwick for five days from their own personal time scale. However, the temporal mixup has sent us from a crescent moon (I think) to a full moon, so ...
