Quest for the Hammer of Light

[Lampwick] That's it, I'm outta here. [starts to walk away]
[Ribald] Oh no you don't!
Quest for the Hammer of Light
iaoth Posted Sep 16, 2001
[High Priest] Tea? *puzzled look*
[Some other priest] As it is written. "The chosen one shall approach the Olympos, calling out salutations, requesting a herbal brew." Book of Light, IV, 11:2-3.
[High Priest] It can't be... The chosen one... This woman?
[Azrael] Woah, wait a minute. Chosen? You're talking about that "only the pure can wield the hammer" thing those church people were talking about?
[High Priest] Yes. We must give this woman the Hammer of Light so that she may vanquish the darkness.
[Azrael] That's great. We're making great time here. It's only been two days and we've already completed half the quest. We've still got weeks left until the next full moon! This is turning out to be easier than I thought.
[High Priest] Weeks? The next full moon is tonight!
[Azrael] WHAT? Look, I saw the moon last night, it was a crescent moon!

[Ribald] Whoa, whoa, whoa! Temporal mixup here!

[High Priest] I'm afraid your warrior friend is correct. Someone must have moved you through time without your knowledge. You have lost several weeks.
[Azrael] That's just -great-! The full moon is tonight, and our next stop is like half a country away!
[Hight Priest] Fear not. All is not lost.

Quest for the Hammer of Light

[High Priest] Yes. We can teleport you, using an ancient ritual. Hopefully, the Chosen One won't be too sick, lest she won't be able to perform her duties. Come, join us in the Temple of Olympos.
* The priests start walking up the mountain path. Azrael follows. *
Where's Kal? Hellooo, MaW? Have you grown tired of role-playing?
Quest for the Hammer of Light
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Sep 17, 2001
Whatever.
And, uh, I don't know MaW's situation.
Quest for the Hammer of Light
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Sep 18, 2001
[Ribald] Let's get going, then.
[Lampwick] Ah, would you guys please make an allowance for the extra weight I carry?

* The monks seem to either not hear or just simply ignore the henchman. After a rather tiring climb that doesn't seem to affect the monks even the slightest, the adventurers enter a distinctly Asian temple, despite the distinctly Greek name of the mountain. The monks stay in the courtyard, practising their shaolin techniques, while the High Priest and a handful of important looking monks guide the adventurers to the inner sanctum, a large room with no windows, lit only by candles whole flames waver slightly as one of the important looking monks close the door. *
[High Priest] This is the inner sanctum.
[Azrael] So you also have an outer sanctum?
[Hight Priest] What?
[Azrael] Never mind.
* The candles are all standing directly on the cold stone floor and seem to be arranged in some kind of archaic symbol. *
