Speaking of dancing chinchillas, today I came across the dancing hampsters that at one time were the wonder of the Internet. Yes, they are still hiding in some far away corner of the Internet....

a) As long as I find it rewarding.
b) Until I've eaten 2legs's weight in profiteroles.
c) Well beyond the second coming of Nighthoover.

2) What do you even use it *for*, now?

a) Brain candy.
b) Motivation for nighthoovering.
c) Cheese spread.


3) How many people do you regularly interact with on here, and do you know or have you even met any of them in real life?

Several and yes.

How much longer will I use this site?

Don't know and when I do it'll be a bit late to tell you
(unless of course I can persuade the doc to fit me with an OFF switch)

The HooVooLooVahs are related to the Oompa-Loompas: after a sad life suffering at the hands of the Whangdoodles, Hornswogglers and Snozzwangers, these small troll-like beings lurk in the dark recesses of the h2g2 factory, only emerging to make a bit of a song and dance at the demise of those unfortunates who visit it.

There won't be such a thread until someone starts it. Also, as of a minute ago, Hoovooloo's existing page had not been erased. So, I expect that he will still be Hoovooloo until or unless he changes it.

If he wishes to stay away permanently, I respect that. If he decides to return and write lucid and well-supported posts, I will respect that, whether I agree with his views or not. But given what I've learned about human nature, I'm sure he carries his unhappiness with him wherever he goes.

The urge to scapegoat others is deeply embedded in the human psyche. I have to work hard to suppress my own urge. I don't have much energy to spare regarding others who can't control theirs.

He's not gone.... NO one can be gone... its the imutable perpetuality of the allness that is the sameness of the thereness that was when they did their hereness, hence, why nighthoover has never left... Afterall... everyone has to be somewhere

Is eating your weight in either bakewell tarts or Christmas cake covered in thick marzipan and royal icing available options?

I can see no impediment to having those as options Of course... I have lost 5 stone in the past decade or so... actually, approx over the time I've been on hootoo so it won't be as much as it might have been, in the way back when

If Nighthoover were to return, how would he prove his identity?

With a DNA test, of course!
