For a while. I think I might unfollow them now.

Well, I think there's an advantage to being able to follow then unfollow as time goes by - you're not "stuck" permamently, it's flexible enough to be tailored to your changing needs or interests.

(I'll probly keep the Jed fellas until after Eurovision, in what they have nicknamed EDzerbaiJOHN)

Used twitter yesterday to share photos with fellow hootoots.

Jedward update: their latest hashtag is #Jedwecan. Which I thought was suprisingly mature and politically aware for the young scamps!

I have a Twitter account, but have no idea how to use it.

Could someone kindly, please smiley - grovel, in monosyllabic sentences, explain it to me?

It appears I've been following a friend for months, and didn't even know. Didn't even know she was a whatever they call a group of tweeters.

It's very similar to your facebook status.

You write "or "tweet" in less than 140 characters, something that you wish to tell your followers (similar to which friends can see your status updates on FB)

The big difference is the use of hashtags (#) You can use a hashtag in your message to put a marker on it - you can search for other messages which have the same hashtag, and other users can see yours, as you've given it that label.

So for your egg hunting, there's bound to be other people, Twitter users, who are also bagging elephants, eggs etc. No doubt some of them are broadcasting their progress on this medium. I'll have a look and see if I can find what they're using or saying....
