On the 31st (yes, halloween) I'm seeing the brewer involved in this co-op thing, he's always looking for help at the brewery, it's hard work doing this stuff. If y'all think it's a good idea, I can have a word with him about organising a brew day.

It'd be one where we all go along and help him brew a beer, and then when it's ready it'd get sold with a name we help choose. I'll have to find out what his smallest plant is (I think it's 2 barrels) and how many bottles that'd be, cost, etc, etc. As I wouldn't expect him to brew a recipe that we think'd be a laugh and then he'd get left with a load of beer that didn't sell. But, I'll have a chat with him. If we can get enough together willing to buy the bottles, and it be a small enough brew run, there's no reason why we couldn't.

Although waiting for the co-op to get up and running (early next year) would mean that we could definitely do it, and any profits would go back into h2g2

MMF, I think you drink as much as I do

I was once told I drink to excess.
I replied 'I'll drink to anything'.

But I do have one rule.

I only ever go out for one .

However, I might need to quaff five or six , before I reach the one I went out for...

And yes, possibly, but it's taken nearly 40 years to become an expert! Not bad for someone who's 52.

The problem, HygienicDispenser, with a Mu Bitter is that it thinks it tastes funny, when in real life it's a tired old brew that tastes fairly stale...

Ironically, given that we are talking about Manchester, it's the one city which is guaranteed to give me Tourettes whenever I drive there.

shall we find out if h2g2 researchers can in fact organise a piss up in a brewery then?
