Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted Jun 21, 2011
I don't know about Blicky, but my "internet handle" was Ferrettbadger for years before I came to h2g2. I think I first chose it when I set up my (pre microsoft takeover) Hotmail account.
Although the Badger part of my name is just because I like badgers and always have!

Talking about how things came about. When I first joined h2g2 it asked for my screen name and I told it Hickory. I then gave it a password and was assigned number U100311
When the BBC took over that password no longer worked so I set up a new Identity, the one I now have shagbark. Peta went out of her way to transfer all my stuff to this identity.
I would hope we would have community editors in the new company who could help troubled researchers the way Peta helped me.

There certainly will be. All of the Interim Editors, including the Community Editors, are listed here: A85803384 .
The community transition is called No Researcher Left Behind and we are ready, willing and able to help anyone who needs assistance.

I just roll my eyes.
Eh... there's some tradition in connection with that too, isn't there? *rolls eyes*

Not that I'm aware of.

Time to dust off the old fan clubs?

Do you know, that's a tradition - or at least a fad - that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Which is why I mentioned it!
There was a time where nearly everybody on hootoo had a fan club. And they each had a theme. PF here, had a lovely pub. I had a place that had a jacuzzi and never-ending dacquiris.
