What's the best thing in the world?
Sunriser Posted Sep 3, 2000
I personally think that the best thing in the world is love. This is because there are many different types of love (family, couples, friends), and the world revolves aroubnd love. Thanks, Sunriser

Cats are great. All animals are great. Trees are fantastic. All living things are incomparably wonderful. As far as experiences go, nothing beats climbing up a very high mountain and looking out over the world. Few things compare to swimming in cool, deep water. The taste of good food is a marvel. Good music can make the soul soar. Also, people are priceless. The greatest freedom is the ability to talk, communicate and share experiences with other living beings. Sex is one way to do this. Having children is a miracle. Oh yeah, and the best thing in the universe is, of course, forty two.

I have to say that, for me, * Tenses himself for a virtual slap * Galaxy tastes a lot better than Dairy Milk. It just tastes smoother. Also, the stuff you get in France called 'Galak' is pretty good (IMHO).

Aurora, that is the coolest thing I think I've seen on the Guide yet! (That may be influenced by the fact that I was noted as a researcher--oops! My pride is showing!) Thanks for the page, though!

I think so too. I was wondering about what format voting would take place in, though. It would be awfully tedious if someone had to glean it all from a forum and compile a comprehensible list. And it could go on for ever. Perhaps the PTB would consider starting a way to take votes on various subjects. The variations are innumerable - a daily opinion poll on all sorts of topics, books and films of the month, people who deserve more recognition.....

One of the best things in the world I think is riding a horse, to feel the rhythm of the beast below you, and to feel its power. And to feel the wind in your face. I use to tell my husband it was better than sex, but that was because he did not like riding and I was not getting much of either, but I know its not. I am getting more of the sex bit now so maybe that is really the best.

Playing Devil's Advocate, does there have to be a "best" thing in the world?

Riding a bicycle, no hands, with both arms stretched out into the wind.
Learning new things.
Walking on a sunny day.
Strolling through a light rain, knowing you'll be in a warm house with someone you love very soon.
Music, Led Zeppelin if I have to choose just one band.
Watching a cat sleeping.
Having a lot of time on your hands.
