I agree that he'll go back for a bit but not as a student. I just don't think JKR can leave it out altogether.

I've always wondered how wizards cope - they recieve only an elementary education in subjects like maths and writing, probably none in foreign languages - and yet they manage their latin spells, potion ingredient ratios and writing essays!

I wonder who the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher will be. It's always been someone we never met before, until Snape, of course, so I guess that pattern will probably continue.

Hogwarts is as much a part of the story as Harry is; in HBP there are a few references to Voldemort's ties with Hogwarts too. I think the final battle will definitely happen there.
Great theory with the Polyjuice potion B!

Grimmauld Place has to become important again, too little happened there till now. I'm not sure wether the last battle will be in Hogwarts, but Harry will have to return to it at some stage.
I don't think that Dumbledore whould send anybody to die insted of himself, it was really him in my opinion.

I think Mundungus will be significant as well. He's been mentioned in many of the books but rarely had any direct action.
Harry will take over Grimmauld I'm sure. How much time he'll spend there I'm not sure.

Yes, true.
What about Creacher? Will there be anything about him?
Harry Potter 6 - the Spoiler thread
Baron Grim Posted Aug 18, 2005
Probably a little... He'll probably rat out Harry and the OotP to the DEs... Maybe Dobby will get a chance to get rid of Kreacher... Or Hagrid's brother could step on him.

Tavaron da Quirm - Arts Editor Posted Aug 18, 2005
I hope that they'll get rid of him.
I think the new head of Hogwars will be someone we know, but I've got no idea who.

Baron Grim Posted Aug 18, 2005
McGonnagal of course... She is next in line. She may step aside for someone else but I can't think of anyone who would do.

Maybe... but I'm not sure. It's hard for me to imagine her as head.
Harry Potter 6 - the Spoiler thread
Baron Grim Posted Aug 18, 2005
It's easy to imagine her as head... She has been temporary head before. And she is very Head Masterish... It's difficult to imagine her filling D's shoes.

She already is, for better or for worse, else she wouldn't have moved into his office!

Hey- wish i'd seen this before.
It's gonna be tough for McGonagall if she's expected to run the Order too.
Harry Potter 6 - the Spoiler thread
me[Andy]g Posted Aug 18, 2005
Well maybe the Order will be run by Arthur Weasley now? Leaving McGonagall with enough time to be headmistress at Hogwarts...
... If McGonagall is head then maybe we'll need a new Transfiguration teacher as well as a new DADA teacher. However, if Harry isn't at Hogwarts so much then maybe this won't be so much of an issue anyway.

Arthur? No. I'd say Remus.
Harry Potter 6 - the Spoiler thread
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Aug 18, 2005
But Remus will have trouble getting people to trust him. Arthur'S whole bumbling thing may just be a charade!

Vamster Posted Aug 18, 2005
It is really, but that's the way he likes to operate Maybe though, maybe he'll get his day.
I don't think Molly would let him.
How come no-one's nominated Mundungus?
what about Aberforth, is he more than he seems?
Harry Potter 6 - the Spoiler thread
Baron Grim Posted Aug 18, 2005
Considering that Albus isn't sure that Aberforth can read, probably not good HM material.
