Little Big Planet.
It's lovely. Stephen Fry chatters away through it and it looks like it's been made by the Women's Institute out of bits of old cushion, sponge, cardboard, sponge and wood offcuts that were knocking about in the shed. The character has been made out out of an old knitted sock.
And then sold at a church bring and buy.
Nobody dies. There's no wheelspin. And you can make Sackboy smile.
I might just take the rest of the day off work.

I've had a bit of a play with LBP... It's nice and everything but I need something else to keep me excited. Equestriad 2001 was my kind of game. The best horse riding sim I've ever played, all the phases of a three day event. It was awful. Bug-ridden, jerky, the horses are ugly... But it's the closest anyone has gotten to a proper simulator that I've ever played.
Good stuff. Shame nobody wants to pay for more of that sort of thing, I played it for hours and only stopped when the ps1 died and the ps2 wouldn't save my game on the new bigger memory cards

I love Morrowind, but crikey come on, Oblivion knocked socks off it. One of the very few great 7th gen games IMHO!

from what I've heard of Oblivion there's a lot more skills removed from it. in morrowind axes are their own category in oblivion apparently they are in blunt weapons. (if i remembered that right)
I want the graphics of oblvion with the roleplaying of morrowind!

Trust me all the simplifications make sense in the game.
It really is tremendous.
I would say Oblivion is, by some distance, the best game I have ever played.
Over my three saved games I have clocked over 250 hours game play...

I played too slowly. I'm only halfway through the main quest, but I'm too good at everything already, so it's boring now. May have to start over.

Currently playing Blue Dragon (on 360), Castle Crashers (download), Fallout3. Still working my booty to Wii Fit, and have several more in the pipeline (started and not yet finished - even on the PS2 )

Same with me Mala. I went and did my own thing at the start and the rest of it was too easy. Dagoth Ur was tought if you tried to fight him.
If you follow the instructions its easy to kill him, go for the heart

Playing on-line COD:WaW.
Part way through Mass Effect which is very good.
Played Oblivion which was superb.
I have got Morrowwind on PC but never grabbed me that much I just kept pottering about. I really should carry on with it as a friend has played it and has said it's superb.

Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. This is after I've collected all the mods I could find, changed many of their portraits, and custom-fitted their installation order. Baldur's Gate is a big game on its own; you add the new content from the mods and the fact that I'm in College and it's taking me a looooooooooong time to finish it.

Oh man I still haven't found enough time to play through those Baldur's Gate games. I tried a bit, but I think you need to settle in for solid 3-4 hour sessions to make it worth while, and reasonably regularly so you don't forget what's going on. I only wish I had enough time...

Just finished GTAIV on PS3 technically better than San Andreas but wasn't overly impressed with the storyline... Now playing with a console instead of playing games... Trying to get the GPS on a PSP working with customised maps (the idea eventually would be to have it running using OS maps)

I've not played "Oblivion" but I have played "Morrowind" (it's one of my most-played games, in fact) and a lot of fans of the latter were disappointed with the newer game. I seem to remember the main complaint was that the world was less interesting and varied than it was in "Morrowind" (Vardenfell is an extremely diverse island and the local inhabitants and culture are suitably weird) and that the "enemies level up" implementation made the gameworld feel less realistic. I think patches were released to "fix" that last problem, though.

I've finished my second playthrough of Fallout 3 and currently swap between the multiplayer games on Halo 3 and FIFA 09.

I'm playing FEAR 2 at the moment and like Resistance 2 there's a lot of deja-vu.
There are very few innovative games coming out now which is a shame
but understandable I suppose considering the costs involved.
I don't suppose we'll ever see a quirky game like Ico for instance
being produced.
What video game are you playing?
Mister Matty Posted Feb 23, 2009
I'm not so sure, "Ico" was released at a time when a lot of older gamers were grumbling that everything was first-person shooters or driving games and that there wasn't any room in the market any more for original games.
