Really? How come you understood me enough to reply rudely then?
Sorry, coelecanth (it's not really argument, we're just taking the piss).

I enjoyed that "Outragious" thread. There was another one which went on for yonks - back before we joined the BBC and on afterwards, called "Euphonisms for Masturbation" About every tenth post was someone saying that it was spelt wrong.
I'm just bumping this thread up a bit, because it's never at the top of the list when you need it, for proper reference purposes, I mean.

Can anyone tell me where to find a thread that contained a Youtube of a woman comedian shouting "man!" to come and fix all her household problems? I thought it was on the Youtube thread, but I've trawled that and can't seem to find it (although I may have just missed it...)

Ah, the old trouble with YouTube URLs. There's not a hope in hell of guessing what clip they lead to unless you click it. Which might take some time with that thread...

"How DOES she do that?"
I've been asked that a few times here! It's a combination of several things. Lurkers actually *have* read the backlog. And I've been here ages and ages, more than 10 years. Also I have the kind of mind that makes obscure connections - I do this a lot IRL too. Brain full of carp.
Now, the female comedian you mean RF is Karen Taylor, from her series "Touch Me, I'm Karen Taylor". And I think the thread you want was started by one of the drooling ladies. But it's not the actual drool thread, because I've just looked. So, if you just want the sketch then you can look in You Tube for it. If you do actually want the thread, I'll find it.

It was the clip I was after, but without knowing the comedian's name I was drawing a blank on Youtube as well as on here. Thanks, Coelacanth! (How *does* she do that? )

I'm happy to help.
How do I do it? I was known in my previous job by some people as being "faster than google". For the really obscure stuff people would just ask me, instead of trying a search engine. Maybe it's intuitive. But really, I just have quite a lot of total rubbish in my head. I'm good in a quiz team! But I always forget where I've left my keys, and I have absolutely no sense of direction.

I wish there was a way of determining ourselves which kind of memory to focus on primarily. Most of my memory space seems to be clogged up by numbers; phone numbers, account numbers, VAT numbers, social security numbers. I've learnt how to remember whether I locked the door or not (by making it a conscious act rather than a reflex). When I moved from my home town to Stockholm I realised, after having been following streeets in the wrong direction for hours, that it was necessary to develop a sense of direction. Can't recall names though, don't know which remote and dark corner of my mind they've been crammed into.
If I could just delete some of the no longer relevant numbers, names might become easier to access. I want an Explorer function for my brain!

Does anyone know how to find old PR threads?
I'm looking for the one for this EG entry:

The internet archive has a copy of the entry before it was deleted, if that's any help.
