Where's that thread...?

You'll just have to rely on people's memories - "search conversations" is still deactivated.

A non h2g2 solution for finding a thread. If it's one you definitely remember reading, why not use the "search" facility in your History file on the task bar.

This is an old thread but it got a brief revival 5 weeks ago. I wonder if it's the one you mean?

There was a thread where things started off quite nicely and then Della and I showed up started arguing about religion and calling each other names.
Does anyone know where that one is?

There's a link to it on my 'other' page - A795026 - under 'Games &c'

Thanks for the link, Coelecanth. I can't remember why I was looking for it now, but just after Rupert, when the idea of moderation was first introduced, there was a thread full of double entendres. (I think it might even have been started by Bluebottle - someone beginning with "B" anyway. All about "Linda" - the name given to the new "yikes" button at the time.
Anyone able to find that?

She is totally amazing - I think the BBC should hire coelecanth as the keeper of lost conversations.

Impressive *and* amazing? Look, I'm blushing -->
I had 2 clues from TC.
1) " I was looking for a conversation that was held in 2002 (just after Rupert)."
2) " I think it might even have been started by Bluebottle - someone beginning with "B" anyway."
11 minutes to find the convo from 2001, started by Bruce. I amaze myself sometimes.
Now, BBC, about this job...

Just giving this a *bump* so TC sees it. I went to a lot of effort to find her the link!
How did I do it? I rely on my memory and an ability to make connections between threads I've seen, and I knew I'd read the one she wanted. I also knew it wasn't something Bluebottle would have started, just not his style really. I also knew the thread hadn't been started by someone I'd met, so that ruled BB out too. I remembered the old h2g2 names (Peta's page is usually a good starting point) and started clicking round their friends lists to remind myself of people and then remembered Bruce, the Guide ML genius.
