I just got in from the impromptu red wine tailgate party out back (got a copy of a neighbour's new novel) and this convo was on the list with unread posts.

I'm nervous to check my h2g2 email account lately its so full of yikesed posts messages..none of which I understand for being disappeared.

I'm getting so nervous about the whole thing to be honest.

See now the above post might be yikesed for offtopic. I've been getting that sometimes.

A very sensible question. It is indeed impossible to 'label' subatomic particles in any way, and this is something that experimenters have been wrestling with for nearly a century now. tbh, I don't know how they handled it in this particular experiment.
