How do you fasten your bra? (possibly Female centric)

In the interests of science, the totals so far are:
A) Reach around back to fasten: 9, with one caveat regarding a temporary mobility issue.
B) Fasten in front and swivel: 8
C) Either A or B, depending on the bra: 1
D) Fasten bra, and put on overhead: 1

Interesting totals HN.
Also, the reasons seem to be to do with big jubblies and flexibility issues.
So, can we say that on the whole ladies with mighty melons and ladies with flexibility issues do up the bra at the front and swivel.
Women who haven't been greedy in the department and those with a bit more flexibility do them up at the back?

Though your ladies appear to have toppled while fastening their bras...

you're ok if you stand directly in front of me.
Unless I decide to go for the the left-right-left-right-up-left-right-left-right-down-etc-etc
that's messy.
Oddly, men enjoy it...

It's not the doing up of bras that's the problem - it's the very severe danger to men trying to undo them. They can sustain a forced abduction rotatory injury of the proximal interphalangeal joint

I think bras should be bannned. Where are the 'elf and safety police when they're needed

No - you've got that totally back to front
Bras with big underwires are difficult to do up at the front and then swivel due to the logistics of getting the larger wires from your back to your front and then adjusting to get them in the right place.

thanks for the chart HN
but yes, Kelli's right - we're both well endowed in the chest department and we're both back-fasteners.

You can call me TC Posted May 15, 2008
I've "swivelled" ever since I saw someone doing it in the changing room at school. If I have the time, I lean over forwards after pulling up the straps, to try and distribute everything evenly. This is a tribute to the theory learnt during my days in the lingerie and corsetry department, where we had to help people try on and choose bras. By the way, Evadne - that was in the 60s, and we did call it (the frilly stuff) lingerie in those days. I was working there when we went decimal, so I'm sure about the date. There was a millinery department next to ours. It was a very traditional shop!
At the moment, I have one underwired bra which is, of course, impossible to do up at the front and twist round, but I can never get both hooks done up when I do it up behind. The half-open ends then scratch and probably stick out the back of my clothes. Also, however tight I adjust the shoulder straps, they always slip down. I'm forever hitching them up - most inelegant - so I don't really like wearing it. It's the most expensive bra I've ever bought, so it's back to cheap and cheerful next time I buy one.
When available, I always go for the "skin" colour rather than white.
I don't see the point of lace - it catches on your jumper, sticks out on the wrong places, scratches and irritates like mad, and isn't seen most of the time anyway. I refused to wear the first bra my Mum bought me because it had a little bow in the front. I wasn't into "girly" stuff at the age of 13!
